Fantastic experience: We had a very dramatic afternoon after our dog got into a bin and ate stuff she was not meant to, something that had the potential to cause really serious damage or worse. Within 20 mins of calling we were at the clinic. The girls were at the reception waiting and seen to Bella straight away. Within an hour we had our girl back and an hour after bringing her home she was back to her energetic self. We can not thank all of the staff enough. They're quick work , reassuring words and advice was so helpful. Things could have gone alot worse and I will be forever grateful for all the incredible staff at mullingar pet hospital for saving our girl Thank you a Billion times ! Fantastic experience: I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the team at Mullingar Pet Hospital, especially Olivia and all the lovely staff, for their kindness, compassion, and support during one of the hardest moments of my life on 13/04/2026, when my beloved 16-year-old Jack Russell girl Migle had to be peacefully put to sleep due to serious health issues. Fantastic experience: Everyone at Mullingar Vet Hospital was very attentive and friendly. We were very pleased with the service and the cleanliness and care provided by the vet.

Fantastic experience: Our rescue kittens first visit to a vet and he was very well looked after. We only went in for a health check but because we had signed up to the pet care plan (highly recommended), he got his health check, claws trimmed, ears cleaned and first vaccinations. All were included in the plan.

Negative experience: We brought our cat in due to vomiting and loss of appetite, hoping for professional care and answers. Instead, after a series of tests and fluid therapy, her condition is now far worse. The clinic told us she was “doing a lot better” before discharge, claiming she had stopped vomiting, was eating again, and just wasn’t going to the bathroom. However, the moment we brought her home, it was clear she was still vomiting, had no interest in her food, and showed no improvement whatsoever. Over the next 24 hours, her condition rapidly deteriorated, with her breathing becoming shallow and rapid. It has since been confirmed that this fluid buildup in her lungs was directly caused by the fluid therapy they administered. When we got home, we noticed her paw was swollen, which we had not seen before because she was wrapped in her blanket when she was handed to me. Not a single staff member mentioned this issue during discharge, leaving us unaware of a serious problem. To make matters worse, this ordeal cost us €590, and we went from a cat that was simply not eating to a cat in respiratory distress. Their negligence nearly killed her, and we were forced to rush her to an emergency vet after they had closed. While the staff’s friendliness was appreciated, what we needed was competent, attentive medical care, and we did not get that. I strongly urge anyone considering this clinic to look elsewhere if they want real, responsible care for their pets. My cat suffered due to their careless treatment.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Mullingar pet hospital enough. Jessica, faye and the gang are beyond helpful and accommodating. I have 4 dogs one of home has health problems and they have been extremely helpful, genuine and caring. My dogs get fantastic care and cuddles and we get great feedback and advice each and every time. Chip, dori, Harley and zuki also give their approval .

Negative experience: I brought my cat in because he was attacked and couldn’t open his eye! I was told he was going to have to have his eye removed for nearly 600€. So i decided I would bring him somewhere else for a second opinion and it turns out his eye doesn’t need to be removed that it will heal with the correct treatment. My advice would be to stay away!

Positive experience: 100% not a bad review at all. More of a suggestion. Brilliant service. Great staff. Only complaint i have is all vets and vet hospitals should be open 24 hours. I understand the out of hours vets is available but they usually do not help much. They should have night staff that take over from day staff after the normal closing hours.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend these vets highly enough- all staff are very kind. Very good care plans made for our animals when they have been sick and they have fit us in when we have had an emergency! Great service

Negative experience: Took my pet in as she wasn't eating and was going yellow. Explained this to the vet but they said they couldn't see the yellow and sent me away for 2 weeks, they couldn't tell me what was wrong BC they didn't have the right equipment. Ended up back in 3 days later and sent immediately to vet specialists as she was now in a critical condition. Should have been sent there on Wednesday, I felt they didn't take her condition seriously at all. I asked on Saturday why they didn't send her on the first visit and the reply I got was "you said she was eating" when my whole reason for bringing her in was that she wasn't and they were told this multiple times. Didn't listen to me, or care when I told them she was yellow. Poor cat was left suffering for days due to the lack of care. I have multiple pets registered to this vet but I will be moving them to Auburn instead. Avoid if you want your pets taken care of.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend mullingar pet Hospital they are a wonderful team David naimh and sophie and jill I would be lost with out them such wonderful care my snoopy gets I moved over to them a few years ago and it's the best thing I have done else where snoopy wasn't getting the best care he needed and I will never look back they give great advice and support when needed the prices are good no matter what other people say if you wont the best care for your pets I would highly recommend mullingar pet Hospital I can't praise them enough snoopy is a well looked after dog once is happy I am happy wouldn't go elsewhere top vets in town give them ago u wont look back

Fantastic experience: David is our vet of choice for my mobility dog and all our cats (who are additional needs). Niamh is a close second. All our animals adore them, which is good enough for us.

Positive experience: Very overpriced vet. It might be swanky and new but not worth €90 for two cats vaccinations, I went elsewhere this year and got them done for €60 including flea treatment. If it's local to you then try them but if you can shop around, you can get the same service at a better price.

Fantastic experience: 100% amazing! After realising this morning my cat was unwell, I was so thankful to see that Mullingar Pet Hospital was open on a Sunday! David was so thorough during the consultation and gave my cat a brilliant treatment plan. My cat is my best friend and I'm so glad he's getting the best of care. Mullingar Pet Hospital is so clean and modern and David is so diligent and kind!
