Fantastic experience: Attended for Amy, our Golden Retriever, to be groomed. Apart from a long wait list, everything else was brilliant. Groomer (forgive me, I can't remember her name) kind - and found our pooch beneath all her excessive fur with ease!

Fantastic experience: Always get an appointment and Nile and Ronan are so helpfull and great with our dogs taking there time to calm them and get a full idea of what is wrong then explaining how to treat them wouldn't go anywhere else

Fantastic experience: Animal Hospital is an excellent practice with lovely staff and very professional vets. They always make sure to get my opinion and never fail to reassure my worries. My dog always hated the vets and never wanted to go through the door but since I’ve been going to them she’s walking through the door with more confidence each time. Very trustworthy and they handle my dog with so much care.

Negative experience: Very disappointing interaction with a receptionist here today. My elderly mother rang enquiring into getting an urgent appointment for our geriatric dog who has several large terminal tumors and was in a considerable amount of pain. It was a difficult call to make and was made much harder when met with the cold dismissive attitude of your receptionist. It's not reflective of the treatment we've received before from the veterinarians themselves however I feel such poor customer service needs to be highlighted especially in a business such as this one.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time visiting with my dog Buster. He's an old dog in for a check up to ensure he's having a good quality of life. I was very pleased with the lovely vet who checked Buster over. As an older dog of 15, I brought him in to ensure that he's doing well. I was delighted with thorough checks he got and the chat on how best to keep Buster happy with life and pain free in his elder years. I thought the consult fee was reasonable and would recommend them if your looking for vet surgery in the Castlebar area. Friendly staff and the consult wasn't rushed, clean and well laid out. There's lots of pet products to buy in the reception area and plenty of parking there too which was easily accessible.

Fantastic experience: Our dog was brought here for end of life, the care and compassion she received, the care and compassion Niall showed us, made a terrible experience that little bit easier. A very good practice where you just know your pet will be in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Following visiting few vets in town, I ended up with Animal Hospital. The team at Animal Hospital is so amazing. Ronan and Niall are so professional and pet friendly. They spend long time with pets to examine them. The diagnosis and treatment by them is 100% accurate and effective. Unfortunately I had to move to another county and no longer able to take my pets there again. Animal Hospital Castlebar definitely deserves 7 stars. Thank you Ronan, Niall and other team members there.

Fantastic experience: One of the very best small animal practices I have found. The animal comes first here. All the staff are excellent and extremely knowledgeable.Many of my friends are top vets and this practice is right up there with the very best. Highly rated and recommended.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Vets and Veterinary Nurses. Have never met a VET that knows so much about - in my case - especially dogs. I had to get my Rottweiler put down there, as he had incurable cancer and this was done with so much empathy to the dog as well as us. They explained everything to us in detail, so that we knew we made the right decision for our much loved pet. They helped my Jack Russell - through their specialist knowledge - to avoid an invasive operation. And we got our young lady neutered just two weeks ago. Cant praise and recommend them enough and will always trust their judgement.

Fantastic experience: Excellent vets, saved the life of our Boxer who had given birth to five pups but unknown to us had two more pups inside her. Had taken her to another vet who said she would be fine and was just low in calcium. Within two minutes of seeing her the vet in the animal hospital knew she had undelivered pups and operated on her straight away. Another hour and her uterus would have burst and she would be dead. Have never used another vet since and never will. They have a wonderful way with small animals, know what they are doing and are reasonably priced. Cant recommend them highly enough.
