Fantastic experience: Great service they care about the animals so much.

Negative experience: I was a customer of this practice for 14 years, but I wouldn't even walk through the front door now. First of all, there is a very rude nurse called Zoe, who has zero empathy and can't hide her contempt for the customers. My longhaired Maine Coon cat, almost 19, had mats either side of her back legs and I discussed getting them removed with the vet during a check up. I don't now if it was a miscommunication between the vet and nurses (Andrea & Siobhan) or they are just very stupid, but she returned with three quarters of her fur removed, they even shaved all of the fur from her tail. She had nicks and cuts on her skin and we believe that the stress of their cruel actions caused her condition to seriously deteriorate and she died 3 weeks later. I will never forgive these people for causing our beloved pet and us, so much pain and heartache.

Negative experience: I despise this place. Awful attitude towards animals yet they claim to be responsible for animal welfare. I have witnessed poor treatment of animals by assistants here who are not properly trained or capable of looking after or treating animals. They only exist to make money and they make no secret of it. There are other more caring places to bring your pets in Tullamore. Shame on these people. Snobbish and condescending.

Negative experience: Over the course of 9 years, I've been a loyal customer, having spent thousands of euros with them. However, this morning, I faced an urgent situation with my dog and arrived without an appointment. The receptionist was extremely rude and unpleasant. I have decided not to return and will start looking for a new veterinary clinic.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff who are happy to answer lots of questions from new pet owners, no long waiting periods for appointments, air conditioning in the waiting area, pet food and toys, pet hotel/kennels available, etc. Prices are reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful as always. Kind vets and staff. Accommodated me (him) in my hour of need after I miscalculated my tomcat's recovery after a mishap/fight of some sort. Improved, then disimproved as may be rypical with puncture wounds. We all know many practices and many vets who are kind, to animals big and small, but it still needs saying when someone shows a kindness above and beyond the necessities of commerce. Thank you for your diligence in difficult studies and ongoing daily diligence in helping poor animals (and their well-meaning, hapless, human pals). Great care, great advice, great customer service.

Fantastic experience: Margaret and her team have been taking care of our pets over the last 15 years. We recently had to have our 13 year old springer put to sleep the care and compassion we received was second to none. Janet is brilliant with animals and we can't thank all of the staff enough for the excellent care taken of our pets over the years.

Rude Receptionist that won’t even let me explain that my dog was an emergency case and then had the cheek to ask me why I was only ringing at 12 in the day when I’m after trying to ring all others vets that was closer for me to get Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: The compassion and love shown to me and my family when we had to put our 14 year old dog down went above and beyond anything I thought possible. These are not just great vets, but honest and caring people who really care about what they do too. A most difficult time was made that bit more bearable by their thoughtfulness and understanding, but even beyond that, they are part of the reason our guy loves to such a grand old age in the first place. I cannot recommend these vets enough. 5 stars plus 1 extra for going above and beyond.

Positive experience: The staff are nice and the vets are lovely! The main reason for dropping two stars is that they only stock Royal Canin pet food and they really push it, even though it's so expensive and from my research (your pets needs may be different) not the best option.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant team. The vet, Janet, did a fantastic job of looking after my cat after it was hit by a car. It lost an eye, along with having to have wiring in his jaw as it was fractured. They did an amazing job of returning him to health and providing him with wonderful aftercare.

Negative experience: Really bad smell when you go in, it seems like the place really need a good deep clean. Cattery upstairs really small, not enough room for cats, they are is really confined spaces. Staff are nice.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Tullamore Vet Clinic, our dog Sparkey had to have a dental and needed alot of teeth out, the staff took amazing care of her, the aftercare was second to none and we knew she was in great hands as we found all the vets and nurses so kind and caring.
