Negative experience: AVOID like plague, moneytakers (Zero stars if I could). *Edit: They've bothered to respond to my review today (to cover their backs of course). If anybody wants to be charged €340 for dog bloods test and diagnosis, then this is your place, what a joke! Recently brought my dog Toby to them for blood tests and was charged €240 (€190 for bloods + €50 visit), I found it very pricey but agreed with that, whatever it takes for my dearest dog. Then the next day was asked to bring Toby again for a re-test just to be sure and Dr. Adam said it'd be only €20 for the re-test and was advised to take a Hill's Kidney dry food for free to try it (worth €27) and thought it was a nice detail and gained my trust. Eventually I was charged €127 and when I raised this issue to the staff, Dr. Adam didn't even bother to come back to me on this matter so it's clear he doesn't care and makes me feel let down, frustrated, disappointed and ripped off. I'll bring my two dogs and business somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Having been dissatisfied with the services of another vet, I recently brought my dog Bruno to Ennis Veterinary Clinic for a second opinion. Within a week, he was diagnosed with severe liver failure. So, while there was nothing ultimately that could be done for him, I am hugely grateful for the urgency of their examinations and diagnostic processes. Meghan and Dennis and everyone involved acted quickly and decisively. In the end, least I knew what I was dealing with for the final few weeks that Bruno was with us. And through it all, there was great communication, tremendous compassion, empathy and understanding. Like the vast majority of people offering reviews here. I couldn't recommend Ennis Veterinary Clinic highly enough.

Fantastic experience: My little cat had to have emergency care after being exposed to a toxic flower which was very distressing but Meghan and all the nurses in Ennis vet were so kind and took excellent care of Cosmo for the two days he had to stay over, I really appreciated the late evening call back in particular from Meghan to confirm Cosmo's blood tests were in the clear so I didn't have to be worrying about him until the next day, thanks so much!

Negative experience: Ennis Veterinary Clinic misdiagnosed my dog with an ear infection when in reality she had a high grade mast cell tumour in her ear. The vets kept bringing us back for round after round of antibiotics and this went on for nearly two months before Ennis Veterinary Clinic was referred to the correct specialist for removal of the cancerous tumour. The delay in their ability to correctly diagnose our dog along with them referring her, initially, to the wrong specialist had now meant that our dog will be lucky to live past October. AVOID this place like the plague unless you want to bury your pet.

Fantastic experience: 10 out of 10. We ended up to Ennis Veterinary Clinic after an ongoing infection on our 11 years old Chelsea. The re-assessment after being transferred from another vet was impeccable. Adam was absolutely brilliant and along with the whole team the service was outstanding. Chelsea is an anxious dog and we are out of what was the worst. We are so happy that we found them. Thank you!

We were passing through so hadn’t an existing relationship in place with the Clinic, however the service and compassion provided was so welcoming, as fellow pet owners. Fantastic experience: My partner was bringing her rabbit here all the time. Since I was living with them I was bringing the rabbit to this vets as it was my first time, over time, I always said to my girlfriend this vet is the best one I have been in. The staff is the first thing they are all so nice helpful and understanding they make you feel welcome and also are so friendly. The vets are so good and know what they are doing. We had to put our rabbit down yesterday and they done so much for us in short space of time. Best vet by a mile

Negative experience: I took my cat in for vaccinations and to be neutered. He came back with a HUGE tick on the back of his neck. He had never ever had ticks before this. He was inside all of the day before up until going to the vet. The tick was very noticeable so it was shocking and disgusting. Paid about 200 for everything to get a surprise tick. Lovely x

Negative experience: Very unhappy with the level of care my 12 year old dog got here. Far more interested in prescribing medication rather than diagnosing the actual issue. When I finally got a definitive diagnosis from another vet rather than just stabbing in the dark it was too late. Deeply unhappy.

Fantastic experience: Amazing vets, so compassionate! We thought we were about to lose Kelpie but they saved him and he's doing briliantly :) They were amazing when we lost Izzy and let us do the procedure in the car where she was in loving hands while we stroked her as she was sedated. Best vets in Ennis!

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Conway and I would like to take the trouble and express our thanks and appreciation to dr Meghan Ryan and the whole staff of Ennis Vet. They are taking care of our two dogs and three cats. Prince Hector (cat) had a complicated heart condition and he was so well taken care of that he lived 2 years more than predicted by a heart specialist. Negative experience: AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I WOULD GIVE **ZERO** STARS IF POSSIBLE!! We brought our dog to the vets as she was bleeding weeks after her heat had finished, projectile vomiting, shaking, no eating, drinking excessively. They ran no tests, didn’t have any interest in running tests or even offered any. They barely asked any questions. They simply fobbed me off with antibiotics. She was progressively getting worse. I called up to let them know, they just advised to keep going with the antibiotics. I know my dog and this absolutely did not sit right with me. She’s a big, strong German shepherd with a strong pain tolerance and was absolutely flat out not herself. We went to an emergency vet on NYE. Within half a hour all tests were carried out, results were ready and they rushed her into emergency surgery for Pyometra and carried out all treatments necessary saving her life. If I would not have paid attention to her, known my dog like I do, didn’t have the knowledge or education, or even simply trusted the vet, which I should be able to??? She would be DEAD. Let that sink in. A few months later, she had chronic diarrhoea, they ran a test, mentioned NOTHING about any costs as I was paying for a pet plan & got a call weeks later while I was at the airport of them chasing money from me. SERIOUSLY?! We have another dog, he went into the vet as he was shaking, trembling, hard stomach and gooey eyes. They said there was nothing wrong with him. We brought him into another vet, turns out he was intolerant to certain foods, blocked up internally, had conjunctivitis and an ear infection. I have a friend who worked there, she has since quit, who observed medication and care required not given to dogs after hours and while staff were not around to cut costs. I’m writing this review to WARN fellow pet owners to STAY AWAY!!! The owners have no interest, don’t care & it’s all about money for them.

Negative experience: AVOID AVOID AVOID - this place likes to cut corners in every way possible. Avoid their plans especially. Our dog had severe pyometra and nearly died - the vet didn’t even check her out, just tried to throw antibiotics at her, rushed us out the door. We had to go to an emergency clinic to get her looked at properly and they sent her into emergency surgery immediately & said due to the way Ennis Vets had dealt with her, if we had waited a few days longer she would have died. If we weren’t in tune with our dog and went against this vet and took her elsewhere, she would have died. We also have a separate dog that had severe stomach issues, conjunctivitis & ear infections, and they didn’t spot it, just told us it was hayfever - but again, another vet spotted the issues. Eventually we left this place and couldn’t be happier. We also had a family friend who used to work here, who has since quit. She observed dogs being given medication under the vets care - during working hours - however, after hours, the dogs were neglected and the required medication was not given to seemingly cut costs. The owners simply do not care. I just wanted to share our experience and make sure people do not make the same mistake we did & please do not take this post as a pure rant/somebody who hasn’t got anything better to do - I just needed to warn people as quite frankly, even after we told the vets of the above, they didn’t care at all anyway - so this may as well be a warning to other prospective clients & pet lovers. Go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Called in to get a few ticks out of our hyper puppy. We were travelling around the island and were far away from our vet. They took us in no bother, were super friendly and got here sorted in minutes. Highly recommended! Thanks again Ennis clinic ❤️

Negative experience: Had a good service in the beginning. In emergencies I couldn’t count on talking directly to vet on the phone or having updates about my pet. Also nurses and secretary were making questions and demands that should be in my pet’s file and vet should know. They sold medicine for flees instead of ordering meds for epilepsy… horrible! Horrible communication.

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to this vet and I have been beyond impressed with them. They have very quickly found and fixed the issues with my cats health that other vets could not even mention in 6 months of constant visits. I highly recommend taking your animals here as the whole team is amazing and genuinely care about the animals!! Just as a vet should :) this is no doubt the best vet in ennis!!

Fantastic experience: I have used this vet clinic since I got my dog and they have always been very helpful, professional and friendly. They always put me at ease, help out where they can and go the extra mile. Prices are fair and reasonable but you just can't beat the service. Especially with Tara - she is extremely friendly, helpful and has such a love and passion for her job and animals, that I always feel comfortable leaving my dog with her.

Fantastic experience: Best Veterinary Clinic I've ever been into. Everyone is always very nice and knowledgeable and the place itself is tidy and extra clean. They treated my Kiki (15 yo doggie) with all the kindness possible when she got her teeth cleaned and had to have anesthesia. Meghan couldn't have been more precise in explaining about Kiki's health and answered to every question I had. They're precise and punctual with the appointments, and the follow up after a visit is great. Couldn't recommend more!

Fantastic experience: I'm very happy with the treatment. My cat Pixy was infested with fleas for weeks and no product from the pet shops helped although they were very expensive. We even washed her with flea shampoo - she was not happy! I went on the free visit cat plan, which I signed there and then. Pixy is 9 years old now and needs to be looked after properly. Now my mind's at ease.

Negative experience: In my experience the service received did not meet expectations, on any of my or my relatives multiple encounters with them. It’s all about the money, no matter cat or dog you can expect to be charged ridiculous amounts of money for tests and procedures which you never needed in the first place. I will personally never bring another pet here or recommend the service to anyone after how they treated me as a client and my late pet as a patient. Update 1: And now you cannot find a record of me? Maybe because you continually kept changing the ownership and contact number to my father even after being told to only contact me with regards to Stitch. Once again, just shows. Update 2: today I received an email to inform me that Stitch (my late pet, yes the one that died due to FIP a year ago) needs his annual vaccine. I thought you do not have records of me or my cat on your system? Incredible.

Fantastic experience: I found a starved dog the other day in limerick. I contacted all possible rescues and veterinary clinics in limerick and no help was offered to me. They refused to help me get the dog to a safe place. I ended up going to my dog’s vet without even contacting them about it. When I got there I was in tears, the nicest nurse came out to me and calmed me down saying that they will take care of the dog. They had no problem doing so. They were absolutely amazing !!! They gave him food and drink. I am absolutely and forever grateful for the people who work at this clinic. You are amazing guys ! I know you care more about the animals than the money. Keep spreading good !

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended Vet(s) and nursing staff, as well as friendly, tolerant and understanding reception. My cat is a 12 year old former feral. She is my little girl and her aging brought about pain for her in every day feline movement. My emotions ran high and all of the vets treated me with amazing tolerance and compassion whilst we determined a proactive course of treatment. Hyacinth (my lovely feline companion) is now doing extremely well with the monthly Solensia injections. I am grateful for Ennis Veterinary clinic and their treatment of both my cat and myself. I would highly recommend any animal parent utilise their pet health care plans and most certainly admonish and encourage anyone who has an animal family to make this vet their primary care giver. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ❤

Negative experience: When googling Summerhill Vets Ennis, this vet centre's listing and phone number came up. I phoned to book an appointment and was told they require a €20. deposit when booking due to no shows. I paid, thinking this was Summerhill, showed up for the appointment, no appointment on Summerhill's books but they took my pet anyway. When I phoned Ennis Vet Clinic to ask for a refund and/or to advise of the problem with Google, they were argumentative and told me I was not seeing their listing when I searched for Summerhill Vets. They even said they had tried to resolve this with Google, but I have my doubts. Beware when booking with Summerhill that you have the correct vet.

Positive experience: I understand it's times of pandemic but it would be 5 stars if I could go in with my pet. Im not saying I don't trust the doctors and nurses but I'd like to see with my own eyes how my pet is treated. Otherwise no issues with clinic.

Negative experience: Brought my dog here very runny nose and was green took blood test said all was good and had a sinus infection and said it was because he needed to have his teeth cleaned charged 140 with medication and a would be something like another. 150 for cleaning teeth and said if that didn't work the would have to operate he was12 year old , Something didn't sit right so next day went to another vet as dogs nose didn't look right to me , straight away I could tell by his face he said I'm sorry but his nose is caving in it looks like cancer and said he would be to old to operate but was not an option anyway,sure enough a week later he got worse they only charged me 40 and that was with the dog being put down. Was very upset and felt they most of known taking money from me
