Fantastic experience: Was there today excellent young lady was very helpful with information and will be back

Negative experience: very disappointed with this clinic. i had booked a spay for my dog months in advance as I was off for a week and wanted to give my girl time to recover. but the sat in jan. got a call. before the Monday she was due in wasn't going ahead..as a pet owner your worrying and for this to be cancelled at short notice and so many excuses on the call. my other wee girl was put to sleep there 2 years ago. but since that alot of staff have left which also is unsettling. I just think loads of time to have cancelled this appt. not last minute. Danielle vet is absolutely and always will be fantastic. I've changed my vet. as a dog mammy who looks after their wee pets totally. And Spent a lot of money and I mean alot with a sick wee girl. customer care is lacking and its not fair on customers.

Fantastic experience: Pat and the team have taken care of all Of our Dogs/ cats for 20+ years. They’re accomodating,competent, compassionate and efficient. There’s nowhere else I would trust to bring my pets when In an emergency.

Fantastic experience: A wonderful practice! I recently started taking my older dog here and it’s been a great experience. Every single staff member is so kind and helpful. Danielle Kealy has been the one to work with us the most and I cannot sing her praises enough. She is so understanding, gentle, and caring. I am so glad I found this practice and I highly recommend it to everyone in Kilkenny.

Fantastic experience: Robin- groomed my terrified Goldendoodle - Holly. Holly had a bad experience with a groomer and wouldn't let anyone touch her with scissors etc. I was sure Holly would need sedation . Robin worked her magic and Holly didn't need sedation. I can't thank her enough and I would highly recommend Ormonde Veterinary Hospital

Negative experience: Awful vets, completely overcharged with no consideration for the animal. There are other great vets in kilkenny but this certainly isn't one of them. Profit first is what they should have inscribed on the sign outside.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with this veterinary clinic, made a request for bloods to be taken, and an examination of my beloved dog Icon, prescribed meds without properly examination, within 10 days icon faded rapidly, no appointments for 3 days, regretfully icon was so poor a decision to put him to sleep. And without a truthful explanation or apologies. Daniela is exceptional, however avoid Pat at every opportunity.

Fantastic experience: I haven't enough good words to say about the staff and service received in this place. My friends dog had to be put to sleep and the vet was so kind and caring. We were given all the time we wanted to say goodbye to our furry friend. They explained clearly what would happen, with the vet checking with us every step of the way. I can't remember his name but I will always remember his kindness! The empathy and kindness shown to us at a very sad time was beyond compare. Really, really lovely. Having had to put my own dog to sleep in another practice, with a less than favourable experience, has confirmed for me beyond a shadow of a doubt that Ormonde vets will be my vets for life now. A beautiful clean building, with very kind, helpful, professional and knowledgeable staff. They seem to really care about the animals, owners and service they provide. They bent over backwards to ensure we and our animal were looked after as best as they could. A special word of thanks to Aisling, who went above and beyond to help us and ensure our experience was as painless as humanly possible. Highly recommend this place where the animals/owners are king as opposed to making money. They might be a business but the animals/owners come first. Keep up the good work Ormonde Vets!! You are doing a fantastic job!

Negative experience: So expensive for worming tablets was shocked nearly €130 to do 3 dog will not be back

Positive experience: Great place, clean, such a nice vets and staff. A bit robotic, like everyone is afraid of consequences of every single word. If managers are normal then apologise if me and my dog scared anyone.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this practice. My dog had a stick stuck in his mouth this evening which I couldn't remove. I live 30 mins from the practice and even though they were about to close when I rang they waited for me no problem.the vet and receptionist were extremely polite and friendly and sorted my dog with great kindness. This was my first visit here and I will definitely return.

Fantastic experience: We had a very caring & professional service when dealing with Ormonde Veterinary Hospital in Kilkenny City. We needed to have our lovely dog of 16.5 years a Collie called Nutty (Professor by her master) put to sleep. Thank you for your kindness & help.

Negative experience: I have brought my dog there and was grand during the first year. They have several veterinarians and they are good. However, last October the young Vet made a mess with my dog and made him squeal with pain. He tried for 3x before he completed the injection. He injected directly in the middle of his back and made him squeal in pain everytime for 3 times! He even lost control of the syringe and left it hanging out of the dogs back! We went back again yesterday (Nov 11) afternoon and my dog was obviously traumatised and do not want to be touched by that vet again! (He was the same vet who gave that awful injection!) He went to get a nozzle and made the situation worst! I will never go back there again! Beware of that veterinarian who showed no compassion or empathy to animals at all! He should have never got that profession!

Negative experience: Words fail me to describe this veterinary practice... Disappointing, expensive, no concern for animal welfare at all.. My dog was under their care but I felt they were unresponsive and uncaring to her needs, she has hip dysplasia diagnosed by them but the treatment she received by all means was negative.. My dog has suffered at their hands and I certainly will not use their service ever again and will not recommended them to any customers .. I hope the practice reads this message but I doubt they will care ..
