Negative experience: Not very happy with yer service for our cat. Im putting this review here cos ye were to get a vet to ring me back this afternoon regarding how ye dealt with our cat..after 7 visits to ye since January...and previous visits in 2025. Sent the cat home on Saturday last and the poor cat was in a very bad way...surely your. VET could have seen how bad the poor cat was.. No call back so far today.

She was a very special part of our family, and during such a difficult time it meant so much to know she was in such gentle and caring hands. Fantastic experience: Such an incredible veterinary clinic! Our dog had a massive tumour taken out recently by these vets and they have been incredible throughout the entire process. It’s so clear that the vets deeply care about the animals on a personal level! We have been going here for many years and they have been a pleasure to deal with every single time. We cannot thank them enough for their hard work and patience and we will absolutely continue to come here for all of our pets.

Fantastic experience: Fond memories of this clinic. I have moved counties recently, hence having to use a different vet clinic. And man do I miss this Athlone clinic. They were very knowledgeable, and took good care for my pet cat and for my pet rats too. It was the first vet clinic to whom I could fully trust and expect honest results from.

Fantastic experience: Great friendly practice! Super helpful with nutrition advice for my dogs and cats and very insightful with a think outside the box attitude! They were able to diagnose pancreatic issues in my little terrier straight away after years trying to figure out his intermittent sickness! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Took an injured Buzzard in on a Sunday afternoon, the level of care Linda showed to that creature was amazing, sadly he couldn't be saved as it's wing was too badly damaged and would not heal. Delighted to find a Vet that treats wildlife with the same compassion as someone's pet, and no charge to top it off..1st class Clinic, thank you so much

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this vets enough. They are extremely caring and thoughtful when it comes to minding your pets. My dog went in for surgery and Denis + Linda did an amazing job; she is happy out and moving as if she never even went in! They both phoned me to update me and explained everything in detail and helped my nerves as she had to be sedated and it panicked me a lot. She also got spayed 2 months ago and recovered extremely well from it. The staff are great in there and you can tell they really love their jobs. Thank you all again!

Negative experience: Have always dealt with Micheal and cannot speak highly enough of him and his care towards my dog. I have NOT had a good experience this time around . Saw a different vet last week for my dogs nails to be clipped and to have his injection. Since having his nails done he has been licking 1 paw it started bleeding and he started limping, brought him bk to the vets and he had to be sedated due to the nail splitting back to the qu ick. Home now on antibiotics and down €120 when it was fault of the vet ....NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Fantastic experience: Brought jessy in to this vets on 12/1/21 I called that evening and got appointment for an hour later the vet was very good with jessy and answered my questions n put my mind at ease also started him on treatment 100 percent best vets by far Jessy is all better now :-)

Fantastic experience: Got one of my cats spayed here and some of my others for different ailments they were all so well looked after. Staff are so nice, thier practice is very clean and you can smell the disenfectant the minute you walk in. I cannot credit them enough as they done a great job looking after all my cats and operating on one. They are so easy to deal with I definitely recommend them to all.

Fantastic experience: All i can say is A beautiful service, We brought our little cat Monster who we had since she was a couple of days old and has been unwell. Each time i bring her in they always do so much for her and Dennis explains all to me so i can explain to kids. The whole clinic works as a team and i am so thankful to them all

Fantastic experience: Always such wonderful service from the team. Nothing is ever too much trouble and on many occasions my doggo and I have been accommodated with an appointment at the last minute, even into closing time. Gerry, Denis and Niasha always make us feel at ease and are so succinct regarding instructions for meds. They are also great for answering questions when I forget dosages. When Maude was in for surgery, I was given regular updates on her progress which kept my mind at ease. Eleven out of ten.

Fantastic experience: A helpful, kind and friendly vet practice - Gerry and Dennis really know their stuff and have always provided great care to my two fussy cats. After a few nasty UTI’s, advice from Dennis on their food has ensured we’ve never had a problem since and the cats love seeing the resident cat in the vets as he roams the top shelves, master of all in the practice As a regular customer, I’ve always been helped out if I had an emergency and found the service to helpful, reasonably priced and the vets to be very knowledgeable and willing to explain things. I’d recommend them to anyone with a dog or cat in the Athlone area.

Negative experience: I have reported this vet clinic to the VCI as I asked them could I bring my cat up yesterday (Friday) as she was very sick and I would pay them thur I had being dealing with them for years and was told NO. because of this, she took a heart attack and died in my arms. I'm going to name and shame then till I get an apology!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff here, from the girls on reception, the vetinary nurses and all the Vets. Would highly recommend this Vetinary Practice. It's so good that our dog Bella runs in the door and loves Denis the vet !!!

Negative experience: Very bad vets doesn't treat your dog right gives them the wrong tables and has killed lots of dogs should be closed down disgusting no care at all for dogs all about the money this place is a horrible place don't bring your dog there he will end up sicker or they will kill your pet very rude vets doesn't really care about the pets !!!

Fantastic experience: An outstanding Veterinary Clinic. Gerry is a miracle worker, our cat was missing for a few days and when she returned she was in very poor condition if it was not for the care and dedication of Gerry and Niasha our cat would not have survived. She spent nearly 5 weeks in their care and it was all about her care and not about our wallet. She has a new quality of life now, playing around hunting. I would also like to mention Joan and Mary for their patients and friendliness between answering the phone and greeting us in person. We highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant vets! I wouldn't let my pooches go anywhere else. Such a lovely team and I know the dogs are in safe hands when I eave them. 5 stars!
