Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Coco, Jack Russell hit by a car. Serious leg injuries but after the excellent care of James and his staff she is well on her way to a full recovery.

Fantastic experience: I took my dog Misty in to see James to check her paws due to her constantly licking them. Misty usually acts very nervous around strangers, particularly men. She went in to James quite timid and shakey, she came out tail wagging and full of fun. Out of all the vets I brought her too she took to him so well that I’m genuinely shocked as she has never come out of a vet clinic so happy and calm with a vet. James is the dog whisperer there are no two ways about it. Thank you so much James!

Fantastic experience: James treated my cat ginger for dermatitis, she was very uncomfortable. James was really helpful and explained everything clearly. After being quoted an extremely high price elsewhere for an X-ray for our dog, we were relieved to find a vet who combines outstanding care with fair and honest pricing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the welfare of the animals comes first. He is knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate, and has a wonderful manner with both pets and their owners. Our dog was treated with such kindness and patience, which made a stressful situation much easier. It is rare to find someone who is not only an excellent vet but also genuinely cares about the people and animals he helps. His professionalism, honesty, and dedication are second to none. In our opinion, he is one of the best vets in Ireland, and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

Fantastic experience: James is the best vet! He and his team are always welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. They care as much about our animals as we do! They have everything they need to make a rapid and accurate diagnosis of our pets. Normal visits are always pleasant. And a couple of years ago, one of our dogs was hit & severely injured by a vehicle. James provided excellent emergency care. He saved our pet with emergency surgery and managed his recovery with the utmost care and compassion. Two years later and our dog is happy and in the best of health. All our pets receive excellent treatment from James. Longford Vet at Crandara really do go above and beyond for their patients. And we are treated with unhurried care and attention too as pet owners. I happily recommend this vet to anyone looking for excellent pet care.

Fantastic experience: My bulldog got attacked while out on a walk. She was very badly bitten I called the vets they saw her straight away, the injury was that bad that she had to have a anasetic, so I had to leave her there for a few hours, James and his team did a fantastic job they are so kind and caring she ended up with several stitches to her neck it look horrific, but once she was home and finished her antibiotics she was back to her happy self, she had two follow up appointments to make sure she was healing up ok. She wasn't put off with the whole experience she loves going there to be fussed by all the fantastic staff, id certainly recommend James and his team they go above and beyond for our fur babies. I can't thank them enough for all they did for rosie

Fantastic experience: James has been our family vet since I was a young child, now, an adult he is still the family vet. Our crazy cockapoo loves him to bits and acts so calm and happy around him. He’s always happy to answer all my questions and offers tips and tricks for anxious dogs. We appreciate you James and the girls at the desk too!

Fantastic experience: I had 3 very sick cats recently who all got very sick with flu. One of them ended up critical with pneumonia, I brought my gossin as I call him to James who was so very nice and approachable, and James went above and beyond with his treatment and care for a full week, and thankfully my beloved cat has made a full recovery. I can't recommend James and his team highly enough for curing my beloved little cat. The receptionists their are also very nice and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Have been attending James for veterinary services and Chloe for grooming over the last number of years.Along with the receptionists and other staff it's' very obviously not just a business to them. They take the time to get to know both pet and owner very well. The practice is welcoming and James is highly competent, practical and always adds a bit of humour to the visit. He takes the time to explain procedures etc to the kids who hang on his every word. And our shihTzu Daisy skips into Chloe who always makes her look like a catwalk model. Fantastic experience: I would give 10 stars if I could. James has been our family vet for as long as I can remember, from when my dad was still alive. He cared for every dog my dad owned(3) and saved one’s life after being hit by a car by really devastated my elderly dad, james saved his life and he made a full recovery. James has now looked after my beloved cat Timmy for the past 9 years. His compassion, dedication, and genuine love for animals truly stand out. I love bringing my son with me( timmy is his cat) and he lets my son listen to timmys heart beat and give him lots of tips and advice. I trust james completely and wouldn’t go to anyone else.He is a brilliant vet , incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and so dedicated to the animals he cares for. I am very very grateful for all he has done for us.i trust him 100 percent and i highly recommend james and his team. :)

Fantastic experience: All of my pets have been cared for by James and his team, and I can't speak highly enough of the care and dedication of them all. I have seen James go above and beyond for my animals, and I have the utmost trust in his skill and professionalism. My youngest cat has recently been spayed, and and I cannot recommend this service any higher. The aftercare is second to none.

Fantastic experience: If i could give more stars i would without doubt, we've taken multiple litters for vaccinations over the years, James and all of the staff were always without fail lovely not only to us but kept the comfort and wellness of the puppies as their priority each and every time!

Negative experience: If I could I would rate -5.... if you want to destroy your cat bring them....groomer higher from the first word , no apology ,and The"big boss" said we don't refund for "our work" .....avoid that place if you want have your bet healthy. . They destroy healthy and good looking cat

Fantastic experience: If I could give James 10 stars, I would. I had been bringing my lab to another vet for a skin condition that they couldn’t diagnose and just kept treating with steroids. I heard about James and took a chance and in the first appointment he diagnosed her and gave her an injection and it cleared up. I stayed with James and Crandara for the next 8 years!! He went above and beyond for us when it came to putting our 15 year old lab to sleep. I cannot recommend James and his team enough and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Negative experience: Surgery performed unnecessarily and on incorrect limb. Was sent to James insurance who found us in favor and payed out. (You can keep deleting this, I'll keep putting it back up)

Fantastic experience: What can I say, one of the most caring vets I've ever have had the pleasure of dealing with. Always there to advise and help in every way possible. James has being my vet for my animals for nearly the last 18 years, and I couldn't recommend anybody else.

Fantastic experience: A feral cat arrived at my home suffering with a terrible eye infection. He was completely blind as eyes were closed tight due to the infection. I brought him to Crandara veterinary practice after finally catching him several months after he arrived. At this stage his eyes looked beyond saving. The vet, James, immediately diagnosed a condition called Entropion where the eyelids roll inward causing severe damage to the cornea and recurrent infection. Surgery was required to correct the eyelid shape and prevent future damage to the cornea, and to effectively save the poor animal from losing both his eyes. The condition and surgery was explained to me in great detail. The cat (Ned) made a fantastic recovery. He looks amazing now and his personality has completely changed. He’s friendly, relaxed and social. Thanks very much to James, Kevin and all the lovely staff at James Victory Vets, crandarra Longford.

Fantastic experience: James has dealt with most of my pets. He is absolutely brilliant. Our dog was 14 years old and he had a tumor on his bum. No other vet would deal with it because of his age. James didn’t have any problem removing it. Our dog came out of it better than ever and we got nearly 5 more years with him. I will always be so grateful for that. He has dealt with our other dogs and has been absolutely brilliant with them. I trust him completely, which is hard for me because of past experiences with other vets. I would definitely recommend him to everyone. He is so good with the animals as well and they love him too.

Fantastic experience: I had my dog Odie in with James recently with a chronic skin condition, i was very worried as Odie was in a lot of pain and discomfort, the vet reassured me that the condition was a skin allergy and would respond to treatment. Positive experience: Brought our 5 month old Spaniel into James last week as he had an upset stomach for a few days. Turns out he had a sock stuck in his bowl.. James and his team brought sam in straight away to get surgery to remove the sock. Reassured me later with pictures of him and a great clean job done on Sam. Great vet - excellent care given to Sam.

Fantastic experience: Came home from work to find my sog crying and limping all it took was one call I was told bring her straight in. After the vet say her he new straight away what was wrong showed me and treated her. My dog is my child and she was treated amazingly I went home knowing she had been looked after by the best.

Fantastic experience: My cat's are now neutered and vaccinated,I got all the information about the treatment and aftercare that I needed and more and it was done much sooner than I expected. The staff is very friendly and if I have anything else done to do with my cat's I will definitely come here

Fantastic experience: I've taken my cat Jess to see James for the last 5 years. In that time she had usual annual boosters, micro chipped and other surgical procedures. I have found James and his staff friendly, helpful and they take the time to explain to you exactly what any problems are. Jess is very relaxed in there, we think she is in love with the vet? We have found that he is very knowledgeable and takes time to research for a problem if he is not sure. We would highly recommend him to anybody. His prices are very reasonable, car parking is available and the staff have plenty sympathy and empathy.

Fantastic experience: James Victory has been our vet for over 20 years and he is a brilliant vet that takes the time to listen to the pet parent and then offers his diagnosis and the best advice. Over the years I have learned so much from him that I have learned not to panic in a crisis and shown how to deal with minor cuts and injuries with confidence and I attribute that to James who is not just our vet but one of our best and closest friends. James has a wealth of experience as a vet and we trust him with all our dogs. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you most sincerely James for your kindness, love, attention, empathy, humour towards us and our pets. I would highly recommend this practice. The vet nurses are exceptionally kind, Chloe and Louise and the receptionists on duty always very respectful and diligent. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing vet, have been going James for years and couldn't recommend him enough. He saved our Jack Russel's eye a few years ago when she had a cut cornea and even brought in a brand new machine to get it done rather than removing the eye. One of the best vets in longford hands down.

Fantastic experience: Took my dog to 3 different vets because my dog was constantly sticking his tongue out/licking. None of them could see anything in particular wrong but prescribed pain killers as this can be a sign of pain. I took him to James Victory who found a gum issue straight away. He also noticed an ear issue. I am so relieved. Hated to think my little dog was in so much discomfort for so long. I'm sorry I didn't go here first. Highly recommend this vet!

We brought out beautiful fur baby Macy in last week and she was very quickly diagnosed with the terrible condition pyometra, this is life threatening to dogs but with the knowledge and experience James has our beautiful fur baby is now home recovering. Negative experience: Stiches are normally to stay in for 10-14 days after surgery; the actual time depends on the type of surgery performed. So could be longer and this vet decided to take out after 7 days

Negative experience: An absolute butcher! Please do not take your pets here, we toon our loverly white german sheapherd here who had piametra, after first operation went good she was back to her normal playful loverly self, we was advised a week later to go back and get the stitches removes witch we did and within 5 minutes of getting her stitches removed all her insides fell out we had to rush back to the vet to get emergancy surgery with what happened they clearly took the stitches out too soon we kept going and checking on her several times every 30 minutes and we heard her crying so they obvs didn't give enough anesthetic to out dog, (we know the sound of our dog) we then visited again 30 minutes later and told sorry she has passed just a couple of minutes ago so asked what they did to save her we was told she was given adrenaline and oxygen however the place was too clean no oxygen tank no drip everything was gone this is mot over we will get justice for what you did to our sheba stay away from this vets

He really cares for his patients and is incredibly kind and reassuring Going above and beyond to give reports on our cat out of hours to put our minds at rest . Your cat or dog etc will be lucky to get James who is very experienced and knowledgeable and has a lovely down to earth manner .He gives the best treatment possible . He I won’t charge an arm and a leg either . No other vet for us! Although there is another vet there who I hear is fabulous too but I can only speak for James who treated our cat .The practice is great with lovely friendly staff who are always happy to give updates when we rang . Our cat had a broken pelvis and dislocated hip and couldn’t walk! and is now ne back walking -with minimally invasive treatment from James And we are getting aftercare advice whenever requested which I think is amazing ! 10⭐️ Very impressed indeed

Fantastic experience: We brought our rescue German Shepherd Ceoladh to James she was gravely ill with pyometra and we didn't think she would make it, James and his team went above and beyond to do all they could and although it was touch and go Ceoladh is fighting fit again just a few weeks later. As a rescue dog Ceoladh is such a nervous girl and so weary of strangers but the kindness and compassion James showed her made her instantly at ease. Cannot recommend this wonderful surgery enough and thank you for giving our girl another lease of life.

My god, the care and dedication he gave her was top class. She is now eating and walking with some little irregularities. So glad I have my baby back . Negative experience: An absolute butcher! Do not take your pet here! My cat went in to be neutered last Thursday, Dec 2nd and I've had to take her to another vet on Tuesday! She has a serious infection! Hopefully she will survive! This practice did not send my cat home with antibiotics or pain relief! The stitches were done as if by a complete novice! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!

Fantastic experience: Has our young kitten spayed, receptionist was wonderful and friendly, vet assured us that kitten was the right weight and age.. He left a tiny incision on kittens side, cleaned her up.. Within an hour of collecting her, kitten was up, eating, jumping and purring.. So happy with them all..
