From the Vets to nurses, they deserve so much more credit than they receive. I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for my dog Jackson. This clinic for me isn’t just all about money, they truly care about the animals…I love coming in each week and seeing the staff have their pets with them just chilling in the clinic!!. Very reasonably priced in my opinion. And they are always a phone call away. I really can’t thank you all enough!! Especially Keith for everything he has done for Jackson. He truly is a Fantastic and talented vet!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this veterinary practice. I have been a loyal client for six years, and my husband’s grandparents and my parents have also trusted them with their pets over the years. The team is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the well-being of the animals. My personal favorite is Keith—I always request him because he is incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient with all of my questions. My dog, Nela, had ongoing skin issues that weren’t improving with other vets. Under Keith’s care, her condition significantly improved. It took some time, but she is now doing great. Every penny spent here feels worthwhile because the level of care and service they provide is exceptional.

Negative experience: Very disappointed they count payment not for what they do, but how much they want, my dog today have a surgery,very easy surgery because doctor say this, and he have a wart which should be for free because as well doctor say this, tablets should be for free,but they count either.... And my dog brother have before day the same injury in veterinary beside coach bus parking and they explained everything ant take a responsibility for everything and count 200e and everything elwas includet. And for my injury i paid 350.35e... its realy terrible... The nurse say he have a bandage for what i need to pay to,but when they bring my dog dont have it....In this vet clinic i never come back here. And suggested not go in here for surgery's..... Very sad when they acting like this ......

Negative experience: Dsappointed. Rang the emergency vet about my pregnant cat that had been bleeding since the morning. Was told to just monitor her as it could be the start of labour and there’s not much they can do. Rang the next day as she was still bleeding but was told he was too busy to see her. Called a different emergency vet in Carlow and they wanted to see her straight away. Turns out she was having difficulty and needed a C-section. The kittens didn’t survive.

Fantastic experience: Sadly the owner John Brophy has retired and the business has been taken over by a Cooperate Company. But the saving grace is the vet Keith would not want to deal with any other. Keith is totally professional, an exceptional vet wonderful communicational skills, and very caring. He has cared for many of my rescue dogs over the years, and will continue to do so.

Robert is a top class vet, with a wealth of knowledge, who quickly spotted something that was previously misdiagnosed (at two other clinics). I have absolute confidence in this practice which puts me at ease about coming to them with any issues that arise with my pup You really feel that there is true concern for your most precious little pals, and that it’s the comfort and safety of the animals that is paramount and not simply looking to squeeze as much money as they can out of you when you’re at your most vulnerable. Can’t thank you all enough for your help so far.

Fantastic experience: Very late with this -apologies Oct 21 my then 12 yr old was having breathing issues-had been turned away by vets (receptionist ) newbridge very distressed i recalled a pal saying this Vet was very good and within an hr the Vet, had her on a drip very servere allergic reaction to pork - picked Coco up following day,,will be back soon for both dogs-

Negative experience: Misdiagnosed a small bump on my dog's head as a wart, other vet confirmed it was some sort of cyst and in no way a wart. It could have been something very serious they missed. Nice staff but be careful and always get a second opinion. Won't be going back.

Fantastic experience: Our doggie, Bella, was very unwell today. Very wheezy, seriously laboured breathing. We rang the emergency mobile. Nicola was on a call out but rang me back within 15 mins and saw Bella within 1 hour of my first call. Nicola was wonderfully caring, very efficient, gave Bella 2 injections and necessary course of meds for the next 7/10 days. She was just lovely with Bella, so caring which kept us calm as we were very worried. Tx so much Nicola. Brilliant service. Regards Una

Fantastic experience: I've used Royal Oak or carlow vet clinic for 9 yrs and a few months ago I had a dog in great distress and after calling for days I am still waiting on a reply so I rang Oaklands which was recommended by a friend and my dog was in that day had a two night stay and diagnosed with painful pancreantitas and problem swiftly solved with brilliant vets and staff. Sadly a month later my 15 yr old JRT was booked in to be pts the following week but I had to call and ask could he be brought in earlier and even so they were so busy they fit Jack⚘in and were so comforting and as tramatic as losing your pet is, it was made alot easier with the vet explaining everything as I've never lost a dog before and the staff were brilliant helping with the cremation details. Highly recommended and very reasonally priced and also their always a phonecall away for any advise.

Fantastic experience: Great service, we had a bit of a scare with our dog one evening and rang the on call vet who met us within 30minutes. She checked out the dog and prescribed medication. Dog is active and acting like a pup again despite being about 23 years old.

Negative experience: We rang Oakland veterinary surgery for a second opinion. They told us everything we wanted to hear before we got there. Offered us better prices on prescription and told us we were better with them then our usual vet. They told us lies after lies. They hit hit us with a more expensive prescription then the other vets. Then charged for consultation fees which we weren't told about. The vet was extremely rude on the phone. They caused my partner great distress and embarrassment. Stay away from this shower. Very unprofessional.
