Fantastic experience: Have always used Vetcare and they have always been reliable.

Negative experience: I am giving this clinic one star solely down to how the receptionist treated my dog. As we approached this clinic there was a dog barking profusely outside and an unleashed dog inside. I was wary of this as my dog is a champion show dog with a very important show on Saturday. However as I entered the establishment the receptionist did not greet me but told me MY dog should be muzzled (my dog is extremely friendly and was on lead) I informed the receptionist that I did not bring a muzzle, she informed me that my dog should be muzzled for the safety of everyone. I asked her if she wanted me to leave and she told me to wait outside. Even though the waiting room was empty. Keep in mind I have a heavy dog with very sore ears and she asks me to wait out in the dead heat. I am disgusted to see someone so biased and judgemental be the face of such a well established clinic a word of advice if you own a bull breed don't go here. One thing I will say is the vet Paula was amazing and low and behold she cleaned my dogs ears and gave him his injections all unmuzzled !! So thanks Paula. - SM

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend. Moved to VetCare Carlow a few years ago now with our large pet family and never looked back. The level of professionalism, engagement, genuine care and support is fantastic. A recent “Rainbow Bridge” visit for our cat Yellow truly blew me away. From the gentle care and empathy shown to him by Natasha our Vet to all the amazing things they did for us - a snip of his fur put into a tiny bottle as a keepsake, a candle at reception lite to alert others that someone was grieving for a pet, to a beautiful poem “When Tomorrow Starts Without Me” printed and laminated with his picture and a card with his name spelt out and signed by all the staff. Truly so grateful for all of these beautiful sentiments. Thank you all at VetCare Carlow ❤️

Fantastic experience: Always helpful over the years. Once held my escapee of a golden retriever until I eventually located him and took him home. Operated on the kids Guinea pig successfully, who had a huge lump on his jaw. Friendly staff. Took my kids in to view insects under the microscope much to the kids delight. Can not fault anything.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant veterinary practice. All staff are fantastic, the vets expertise is incredible. Diagnosed a condition in less than a minute, which our last vets didn't, for over four years! I trust the staff here completely, they take incredible care of our dogs, always have.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this vet practice for years (In Carlow and Athy). There are a large number of vets on call and they have all been very helpful and caring with our dogs. I like that they have multiple locations so in emergencies the medical records of the dogs are kept up to date regardless of which practice I go to. I see the 1 star review on Google but it does not reflect my experience there in any way.

Negative experience: Very bad vet ,she tell can help my daughter pet because it's very sick(pet dying) and give me number for other vet and charge me for consultation.Pet suffering died the evening of the same day.Not recommend
