Negative experience: Hi, id really like to be writing a nice review but i cant. My dog of 15 years was dying and suffering yesterday 29/10/25 So i went straight to the Vet without appointment. As i mannerly explained my situation I was meet with attitude because i did not make an appointment. Let me remind the lady with the red hair as i did not get her name that manners costs nothing. I went up to the Vet on main street and they were delighted to help me and i would highly recommend them instead.

Fantastic experience: A good place where professionals work. They are kind and helpful. I will always recommend them. My beloved dog received excellent care. Thank you.

Negative experience: Hi All just to let you know that this so called vet practice wouldn't see our dog!!! Disgraceful because of their breuocrcy Thank god there are plenty of vets willing to see your dog❤️ I wouldn't recommend them if they were the last vet in the world Frank Ballyknockan Co. Wicklow

Negative experience: Unfortunately I found the prices here terribly expensive and refused to pay over €50 for a pour on flea and worm treatment for the cat. The staff member was friendly and polite.

Fantastic experience: I brought my pet cat prancer to the blessington pet hospital. Prancer she had cancer in her mouth Sarah was so lovely and caring she went through step by step with prancer my 10 year old cat she died on Thursday 2025.i like to thank Sarah and the nurse for every thing you have do for my beauty cat prancer rip you are on the way to heaven

Fantastic experience: My dog really likes this vet. We always receive very good service. Communication is very good. If they can't pick up the phone there is always call back. Emails are responded quickly as well. I haven't been so far left alone to deal with any issues. They are always trying to accomodate even at the short notice. Myself and my dog are really happy with the care and service at Blessington Pet Hospital.

Negative experience: I moved into the area My dog was sick I rang they wouldn't except him with out all his medical records from the last vet Not to even examine him I thought that strange Eventually I got them to see him My dog was great with every one every vet told me how good he is They put a note that he couldn't be trusted Left a note on his file saying he gave them a side eye I told this to the new vet and they laughed I would never go back to them very condescending They treat you as a bad owner The worst vets I cam across in 18 years I drive 30 mins to see another vet and Im much happier

Negative experience: Rip off prices and a “take it or leave it” attitude from staff. Brought my dog here who was very old and weak. He had a terrible cut on his paw and my child was really upset seeing her pet in pain. We arrived to the practice having made an appointment only to be turned away telling us they were too busy to see us. We returned the next day as arranged and were charged €300 to place a dressing on the paw and give an antibiotic injection. They only had the dog in the practice for no more than 30 minutes. When I queried the price I was met with hostility and very poor attitude by the staff. Won’t be using this vet again for anything.

Negative experience: This veterinarian practice should be shut down. Unethical, dishonest and incompetent. Had the misfortune of needing to bring a cat here for emergency treatment. Cat had urinary tract blockage and clinical history was transferred from regular vet. They admitted the cat and syringed the bladder but claimed there was no evidence to suggest a blockage despite the fact previous clinical history showed the cat had suffered from this twice previously. They suggested the cat wasn’t passing urine because he was “stressed” and that I should bring him home where he would be fine. 24 hours later the cat had still not passed urine and was close to death. Returned to this vet and was turned away at the door stating they were too busy to see the cat and that I should bring him to his regular vet over an hour away. They had charged me the €180 for first treatment and wouldn’t take responsibility for clearing the blockage which would have required surgery. The attitude and hostility of the vet was disgusting and I told her so. Vile person and shouldn’t be aloud to practice. Worth also mentioning that vets are obliged to give you an estimate of costs before proceeding with treatment but this vet doesn’t follow the rules. They make up the price during the day and let you know when you are collecting the animal.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service, as first time dog owner the staff at hospital was extremely helpful, spent a lot of time explaining the procedure, aftercare and answering any question we had. On top of they, they returned out call after hours, again spending 30 min answering our questions. Very highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The care and attention my pet Cat receives at Blessington Pet Hospital is amazing. Very professional and a kind and caring attitude. Always a warm welcome. All the staff are so efficient. We are so lucky to have them in our community. A++++++++

Negative experience: I am never one to post reviews about places but after my mother rang up to receive help over our dog who had been struck by a car resulting in two broken legs I was absolutely disgusted and shaking with anger after we were basically given out to and told it was our fault by whomever was on the other end of the phone. We received no help and not that they care but our dog is on the road to recovery after we brought him to Moss Veterinary Hospital in Naas. To anybody who takes the time to read this, if you are in an emergency, please bring your pet elsewhere. And to everyone at Blessington Pet Hospital, I think you know where you can stick it.

Fantastic experience: I received a logical caring approach to my dog being sick. Fionnuala has been warm, patient and kind at answering my questions. She sorted out an ongoing problem for my dog and I’m am most grateful for her approach.

Negative experience: While we don't doubt the vet and nurse we dealt with care about animals their people skills were terrible and the prices very high. After over a month of treatment for a leg wound accompanied by regular lectures about our poor care and the threat of amputation we tried a second opinion. Our new vet couldn't have been more different, open to listening and solving the challenge of keeping the wound dry (instead of insisting it be done the one way), clear and encouraging in what needed to be done next and noticeably shocked when told that amputation had been mentioned (but discreet and professional enough not to comment). And then only charged us for the bandages he gave after teaching us how to apply them (something we'd been forbidden to do before). We've been through a very anxious month exacerbated by the inflexibility and judgemental attitude of some of those in this practice. Our dog is recovering very well and we can't help wonder if we couldn't have got here sooner without all the (expensive) drama.

Fantastic experience: You always hear of pets not liking going to the vet, but this has not been the case here. All three of our dogs have been so well cared for in so many different situations from simple things like getting worm tablets or having to say goodbye to a dear pet. All of the staff are incredibly good at their jobs as well as just being wonderfully kind people. I feel comfortable asking questions, even the silly ones, and it says a lot when our shy rescue loved visiting her doctor

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say thank you for how you handled our very hard situation on Sat 23rd. It was a day unfortunately I will never forget. We had to let our beloved dog Ruby go. Myself and my wife really appreciated how kind and patient you were with us. I will be forever grateful and Ruby will be forever missed.

Negative experience: Most uncaring vet I ever rang I was only 2 minutes away walking my dog in Avon ri When suddenly she took a seizure in my panic I rang blessington vet left a voice mail explaining my situation and they never rang me back up to now 4 hrs ago I rang my partner and he rang and got speaking to a vet and explained my situation he was told they couldn’t help as they were closing in 5 minutes and to take my dog to Dublin UCD no compassion uncaring unwilling to help not fit to be a vet so my partner rang my local reliable vet moss clinic in Monread which were so helpful with advice over the phone and waiting for me when I arrived can’t praise the vets and staff there enough always there to help day or night which unfortunately I have had to call them many times as always they treated my dog which is now home safe and doin well Thanks to moss vet Monread

Fantastic experience: First time myself and my wife were here this evening. (Never knew the practice was there) My wife had been on during the week to ask questions about her mams elderly westie, Daisy who had lost the use of her back legs. (20 years old) They were fantastic from start to the sad end We met Fionnuala, who is the most compassionate and warm vet/woman I’ve ever met!! She really made us feel at ease and could not have been more accommodating to us and poor old Daisy. I would highly recommend Fionnuala and the practice to anybody!! In such a sad time for a family, all of the staff were just 110% We will be back to visit and will sing your praises around the area. Thank you again.

I brought a wild injured bird yesterday and it was lovely to see that no creature was too small or wild to be given the care or help needed. Well done

Fantastic experience: Excellent care from real animal lovers. They were beyond caring when my lovely Staffie was unwell and looked after her so well when she had to be put to sleep. They go above and beyond what is expected of a vets practice - I even received a lovely card from them commiserating the loss of my dog, a very thoughtful and kind gesture. I have recommended this practice to others who have also had a wonderful experience. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

Positive experience: Apparently I'm one of the few left that still goes here (It's still open so that's highly unlikely) . Fionnuala really gives your pet a great check over and loves them. But my word they're expensive. Other vets in Naas are up to a quater cheaper. I paid €60 for kennel cough and a worm dose. Naas charged €15 to my friend...

Fantastic experience: Yesterday my 2 male cats were treated at the Blessington Pet Hospital and I am extremely happy with the great care for both the boys and us as the owners. I can honestly say that this was the best veterinary experience I’ve had. They went the extra mile when something unexpected was found and called ya to verify if extra tr atmend was okay. Also our request for keeping them together was no problem and they both recovered from their operation and treatment very well and fast. Thank you so much!!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the Pet Hospital have gone beyond and above when it comes to caring for my pets. Especially recently when saying goodbye to my lovely old cat. They were so good to me and I am enormously grateful.
