Highfield Veterinary Blessington

Negative experience: Being mobility challenged my vets sent a prescription for Loxicom to Highfield so that I might be able to get there more easily. They had the script from Monday morning but when I called on Mon afternoon the receptionist said they would not have the script until Wednesday. I said I couldn’t get to Blessington on Wed. I rang today, again the receptionist was helpful but had to run it by the vet but would hope to have it for me this afternoon. She was opening a file in my name and adding the script. Great. The vet Marita (?) rang me about 40 mins later, introduced herself as clinical lead and said they could not provide the meds for an animal who was not registered there. She also said that I had said on Monday that I did not want the meds. Not so. I had said I couldn’t get there on Wednesday. She was very rude and, in contrast to the receptionist, unhelpful. The dogs’ minder has gotten meds for my dog at Highfield, in the past. All fine! But why not just say so when I rang on Monday. Today is Thursday.

Fantastic experience: Hi I would just like to thank Highfield vets for helping my cat Bebe in January.She had a mouth abcess and her cheek was a swollen up pushing into an eye.It was heart breaking to see her like this.She is such nice cat. I know she was very uncomfortable .David did an operation and fixed her up.I was given meds .She was back to herself in two days .Tnx to David the locum vet and all the staff.Absolutely brillant!

Fantastic experience: We had our family dog, Jess in with Marite today to unfortunately have to get her put to sleep, and to say Marite was just amazing is an understatement. She was so caring and respectful towards us, and Jess, and she made everything so peaceful and as easy as possible given the circumstances. Jess has always received the best care in Highfield and myself and my family really appreciate all the hard work they all do up there. Thank you so much Marite, you’re a gem! Jess will always remember your kindness and warmth today.

Fantastic experience: My elderly parents have the task of minding my sisters dog Alfie, who needed a vet at short notice. We had an appointment within 1.5 hours. The care Alfie received was beyond exceptional. He is flying around now and not a bother on him thanks to the staff at Highfield veterinary Blessington. Very much appreciated and Highly recommend. 5 star's ⭐ all the way!

Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time today with a semi feral cat, vet was so patient (didn't get her name) but was genuinely caring and didn't rush anything, very positive experience

Negative experience: Went to buy dog food, worst customer service ever experienced.. If this is the behaviour at the front desk, would hate to know what happens behind close doors.

Fantastic experience: Another visit with the 15 year old that thinks he isn’t. Took a tumble down the stairs so had him checked out just in case. Kerry looked the cantankerous git over and he wasn’t cantankerous about it so that speaks volumes on its own. The vet isn’t a place any of us want to find ourselves in, if you have to attend here and the Naas branch are for me personally extremely professional and caring. Last but not least. The receptionist was above and beyond professional and patient in an uncomfortable and extremely irritating situation in the waiting area while we were there. So. Apparently the word is out about the service. Spotted in the wild in Glending woods.

Fantastic experience: Been here a few times over the past year with my pups and the veterinary staff are amazing. They understand different temperaments and types of dogs and accommodate them all. From the moment you walk in to this Vet, your very first interaction is fantastic, understanding and accommodating. My dogs are quite high energy and quite chatty and the staff here immediately know how to connect with them even before my consult has started. Love this Vet and would recommend over and over. Thank you all for looking after Khali and Biggie so well so far... ❤️

Fantastic experience: The best vet I have ever been to, Kerri is so caring and you can see the love for animals the minute you walk through the door as is Alanna, very approachable and tells you all options without pushing medications on you and giving you all the options available. Definitely recommend there is no sales tactics that I have seen with previous vets.

Bring our pet ferret here for all needs and they are fabulous Sock loves all the vets here, get straight to the root of the problem and treat it properly our boys eye had a red mark and after a little injection it’s cleared right up. All his vaccines done here and we plan on neutering him with Highfield too! Keep up the great work guys
