Negative experience: They are not good and professional about cats, maybe big animals. For rare type or small cats they just not get that much experience. Got Briarhill Veterinary Clinic if you needs treatment for cats, they rescued plenty cats and treated lots of cats.

Fantastic experience: The compassion and understanding of the vet was amazing. I was reassured with the advice I was given. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Great vets every time I got for my cats. Best vets i’ve been to in Galway. My cat has recurring cystitis and they’re always very quick to provide an appointment. When I go there, they’re very efficient but care about animals. Only recommendation would be to have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs :)

Negative experience: I had a really bad experience here in 2023. My dog had an open pyometra and I was aware of it as I studied animal care. We were viewed first thing in the morning by the older male vet with glasses and beard. He practically gave out to me as my dog obviously wasn’t nurtured and told me she was going to pass away and it was my fault. I asked if I could get a surgery date as I know it’s a life or death situation and he told me no and said she has to be on medication for two weeks and then get a surgery and if she survived it. I walked out balling my eyes out and knew it wasn’t right with the dog handed back to me all bloody from the infection leaking out of her I was traumatised. I called Oran vets the next day and explained the situation and they viewed her and she got surgery straight away and she’s still alive and well now and it’s been nearly 2 years even when she was viewed for bloods they gave her back to me and cleaned her up . If I didn’t know anything about dogs or infections in general my dog who is 13 now wouldn’t be here with me today. The vet was very rude and blunt I explained I got the dog when I was 11 years old and my parent’s weren’t educated on dogs but he proceeded to blame me and told me my dog wouldn’t make it. A very traumatic experience in general and I won’t be returning there. Oran vets didn’t even talk about medication it was a operation straight away which how it should be done and not have the dog put on medication for two week and if it survives great if not oh well.. in the photo that’s her after her surgery alive and well and healthy.

Fantastic experience: I have used Glenina for many years for scheduled shots, neutering etc for my dog and always experienced a caring and efficient service. My dog was sick recently and this was my first time witnessing the illness treatment side of their service. My dog's care was attended to by Ronad who I have to say was amazing. She kept me informed by phone on all steps of my pet's treatment and took her time to explain everything clearly. I dealt with the admin side of the team also who completed my insurance claim form in an efficient and timely fashion. Well done!

Negative experience: I brought my dog who had to have a hernia operation done. He was operated on & was sent home with no antibiotics & his hernia was bigger then ever. I had to go to another vets to get antibiotics for him. I was told by Joe it wasn't a success because he wasn't neutered at the same time & told me they would neuter him & then refix the hernia again. I trusted them with my poor little dog a 2nd time & when I went to pick him up his hernia was worse then when I brought him in the 1st day ever. I showed it to the nurse before I left, who couldn't explain it to me why the hernia was still massive & said Joe had gone home even tho I had seen him only a few mins before that walking across the hall. I said Joe should be here to explain to me why the hernia was still the same way. They handed my dog over to me like that & obviously didn't even look at him properly before they gave him back to me. I have since spoke to him on the phone & he told me that the operation was a success & that he was very happy with it & that I wouldn't be getting my money back even tho my dog is now going to have to be operated on a 3rd time to fix the mess they made & fix the hernia. When I asked him how would he like it if he was in my situation he said he wouldn't like it but that's life these things happen. He didn't offer me a solution or anything after the hundreds of euro he took from me. He has left me with a very sick dog now to try find someone else to fix the hernia they were paid to fix & got 2 chances to fix it. I got a 2nd & 3rd opinion from 2 other vets & both couldn't get over the state my dog was in. When I told Joe what they had said to me he tried to make out them vet were talking nonsense. Funny how everyone else is wrong & he is right. He never even offered to remove the stitches for me. I'm finding it impossible to get another vet who will do it for me because they didn't do the operation. They make out they are animal lovers but have left me with my dog in an absolute state. They are a joke of a service. All they care about is getting your money. I said to him if he cared about my dogs health he would refund me my money since I didn't get the service I paid for & so I could go get someone else to fix the mess they made & he refused. So that's kinda service u get there. They have put my dog & myself thru so much stress & I'm out hundreds of euro & left with a dog who is worse now then b4 I went to them. Absolutely disgraceful service.

They are so understanding too when grief hits which is inevitable with our four legged friends. Positive experience: I love Ronnie! She's the best vet there and everyone should request her. She deserves 5+ stars. I am only giving 4 stars because there was another vet there who really injured my cat in our visit, and after the appointment she came away worse than she went in. That's all I'll say but I really did not like the way he man handled my cat and caused her a discomfort she will likely have for the rest of her life. 0/5 stars for him. So ask for Ronnie! Also, I am very satisfied with how soon I can get appointments generally.

Negative experience: I like Glenina Vet's, I just went in to get Frontline, the receptionist saw me but started texting on her phone. She didn't acknowledge me, I raised my voice to let her know I was there, she said she was busy. I have just gone back to this vet's practice and the receptionist is on a private phone call, not looking after her customers 13.26pm 23rd of January.

Negative experience: Rude receptionist, refusing to book vaccines for a kitten on a Saturday said the vets were annoyed they were too busy last Saturday? Very unpleasant unprofessional- not taking into consideration that people work Monday to Friday- have been going here for a long time with our last cat and had never been treated like this!

Negative experience: Back in September I wasn't able to see my regular vet with my rabbit as it was a weekend and they weren't on call. I tried calling Glenina as it was close to me. My rabbit needed immediate care so I called Glenina who then proceeded to tell me he'd be fine everything sounded like it could wait until Monday. I rang again only to be told the same thing, even when I told him I wanted to come in. I ended up having to go the whole way to Knocknacarra with my rabbit to see the on call emergency vet there. Because it was so far away, we ended up losing him 2 minutes away from the vet in Knocknacarra. If Glenina had listened to me when I said I need him seen he might have made it. I would never recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Joe and the other vets in Glenina are always v attentive towards my cats, It's a large practice. They treat animals large and small, and visit farms in the area also. When you need to see a vet there will always be an appointment there for you. They really are great, tks guys.

Negative experience: Atrocious. Let our beloved animal suffer on and on after a simple teeth clean which made him very, very ill. This animal was suffering horribly for days and the younger male vet was horrific and happy to let this animal who wasn’t eating or drinking or lifting its head and crying continue on to the point of absolute cruelty. We had to make the horrible choice ourselves to euthanise him, something they should have made easier on me and my child. Money hungry and disgusting. One of the worst vets in Galway. Second to only one other.

Fantastic experience: I brought my little kitten here for her shots and then back for neutering. I didn't realise how invasive this op would be. Looks like Fluffy is doing great. I was concerned about stitches looking loose so emailed Danielle a pic. She got back to me and told me vet said it was healing nicely. I'm very happy with Joe and his team, nurses very kind. My little one is doing great after only 5 days. Thank you

Negative experience: Worst experience in this vet clinic . No care of compassion for much loved animals. My dog was dying and I was not notified after several calls were made for an update. At one point a comment of "what is all this about" from a receptionist. I was then left in the reception area 15 mins while my dog was dying not able to breathe/coughing up blood before they let me see her and all receptionists left the reception area so I could not ask what was going on. The nmanagement really need to look closely at there customer service sector and how there staffs speak to customer putting their trust in them. Never again.

Positive experience: My cat was there for full surgical teeth removal. vet didn't speak to me beforehand to explain what will be done .cat was taken away by lovely nurse and I was told it will take about 2 hours and they will call me. Eoin and team did great job on removing all teeth ,cats mouth is looking great and healing well.just would liked more communication about procedure and costs and so on beforehand.

Fantastic experience: Couple of months ago they saved my dog.. And I can tell that they really did everything they could.. Complicated surgery.. My dog is 100% now. Thank you. I had appointment this morning with the small puppy.. Because of the traffic I was late 5 min.. As soon I walked through the door I felt cold unwelcoming attitude.. I apologised for being late (again 5 min.. first time).. Then the vet showed up in her jacket telling me that I am too early for 3th vaccination - this is not what I was told during my appointment 2.5 weeks ago. The whole appointment was unpleasant.. Clearly the vet was not happy that I was late becouse she told me that she appreciate the fact that I apologized for being late because usually people don't care. Then I was charged more for vaccination then for the previous one but I didn't even ask why becouse I felt like I should just leave. I understand that I wasted 5 min of their time this morning but a I lost much more time by attending the appointment that was unnecessary. I spent a small fortune in that place in past few months and todays appointment was disappointing.
