Cuddy Vets

Negative experience: Booked an appointment for my dog who had a bump on his his back. Only got a booking for a week and a half later. The bump burst so we thought it was a pimple. Only to find out it was a bot fly. Tried making another appointment and they booked us in for 2 weeks later because we cancelled our first appointment. Found another vet because I wasn’t going to let my dog walk around with a parasite for 2 weeks. As someone else posted, they don’t care about your pet.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank the incredible veterinary team of Cuddy Vets enough for the outstanding care they gave our little dog, Matilda, during a very frightening time. From the moment we arrived, their compassion, professionalism, and dedication were truly exceptional. Our dog was extremely sick with a very complicated digestive issue, and the team went above and beyond with thorough diagnostics, constant attention, and accurate treatment that made all the difference. They took the time to explain everything clearly, kept us reassured throughout the process, and treated our little one with such kindness and genuine love during the time she was admitted and throughout aftercare ( Matilda loved coming back to Cuddy Vets and see her friends for the aftercare check-up!) Thanks to their expertise and the precise medication plan they provided, Matilda has now recovering beautifully. We will forever be grateful for the care, patience, and commitment shown by every member of the team in particular Patrick, Niamh and Ger for outstanding care from truly wonderful people — I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care with out-of-the-box thinking!

Fantastic experience: I had both my dogs seeing Patrick and his amazing team. Ger at the reception is always so helpful and kind. I drive across Galway to see them as I wouldn’t have my pets seeing any other vet in Galway. I couldn’t recommend Cuddy vets any more for caring for your pets.

Negative experience: Many trips here with my dog, in agony for months, sent home every time with arthritis medication. After months and months of this, they finally did a scan, found something inside him, wrote it off as something he ate, undigested in his stomach. Sent him home with an 80 euro bottle of horse medication, for arthritis. Two weeks later he was dead, one of his kidneys was completely eaten away by a tumor. The agony the poor creature went through, with this thing inside him. I will never forgive these people. He was 10, strong as an ox, survived the pain of this thing tearing him apart for months until he no longer could. He'd still be alive today if they did their job properly. I watched him deteriorate over these months but trusted in these people that their diagnosis was correct and he would eventually be ok. I'll never forgive them, or myself for not getting a second opinion when there was never any improvements. If you love your fur baby as much as I loved mine. Stay away from these people.

Fantastic experience: A truly fantastic team at Cuddy Vets. We received phenomenal support from Patrick and Alice during an extremely difficult and emotional time when our much-loved Shelby suddenly fell ill. We are so grateful for their care, dedication, and everything they did to help him recover.I can’t recommend it highly enough! Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending Cuddy vets since I adopted my pooch, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Ger, Patrick & Alice are the most kindhearted and professional practitioners. They each have such genuine compassion and devote such thorough care to the animals. Púca is a nervous rescue, and each time he visits the practice, he is treated with kindness and patience, and is handled in the most gentle manner. This puts us both at ease, and means the world. I always feel reassured leaving him in their care, knowing he will be so well looked after. Thanks again guys for all that you do. Fantastic experience: Great vets

Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience, 15/20 even! We just adopted a senior pug jack russell named Pugsley, and he had his first check in with the vet. The moment we walked in staff were so friendly, and just gushing over our boy, we felt so welcome. I was worried he would be anxious, but absolutely the opposite. He was delighted to make new friends with all the staff (and treats ) I left so reassured, and all my questions + concerns answered. Can't recommend Cuddy Vets enough

Fantastic experience: We have a little Yorkshire Terrier (Skye) who is very nervous and anxious outside of the house. Cuddy Vets (Patrick, Alice, Ger and team) made sure that she was welcome, calm and relaxed before her treatment. The staff there are very patient, empathetic and loving towards the beloved pets. Highly recommended from me.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Cuddy Vets enough. Patrick, Alice, Ger and Alex are all so gifted at what they do. It’s always nerve wrecking trusting someone else with your beloved pet, who’s an important member of the family, but to know you can fully trust the care they are going to receive is an invaluable reassurance. My two dogs are treated like they are the vet’s own and run in the door to see the team (and to the treat jar) every time. Sky and Percy give 5 stars and lots of kisses!!

Fantastic experience: Can not speak more highly of the staff at Cuddy’s vets. I have been bringing my cat here since I rescued her and they have made sure she has got nothing but the best care. The consideration and care they put into making sure she was comfortable throughout her visits was second to none.

Fantastic experience: I can not give high enough praise to Patrick, Alice and Ger. They have had to treat both my staffies, who run in door, on numerous occasions and most recently my daughter’s cat. The care given to all of the animals is second to none. They genuinely care about animals and that reflects in their work and on the animals. After years of going to careless vets it’s a breath of fresh air.

Fantastic experience: Patrick and Ger give great care to my dog. They were patient in trying to figure out the cause of his ailments which was an autoimmune condition. This can now be managed with supplements and diet and he is healthier than ever. It's a wonderful practice run by true animal lovers!

Patrick could tell (from just looking at our dog in the waiting room, later confirmed by blood tests) what had been causing multiple health issues for a few years, but had been missed repeatedly by another local vet. Quick relief for our dog and he’s like a pup again.

I lost one of my cats recently and they helped her until the end with a lot of love and humanity. I'm very grateful with all of them. She passed away in a calm way and I felt all their compassion and love in that moment. I brought my other big cat and I am very satisfied with their job. Fantastic experience: First time visiting them was not a happy situation but they went above and beyond to make us feel as comfortable and consoled as possible. They are now our the only vet we are visiting and reaching out to as they took great care of Ponyo and are always there for Yua and Mika.

Fantastic experience: An amazing vet, after getting poor treatment from another local vet (basically told us we needed an expensive surgery that she was not guaranteed to wake up from), we ended up stumbling upon Cuddy vets. He immediately diagnosed her ailments and throughout the course of a few weeks, tried and tested various medications/dosages until she was back to her old self. He provided consistent care over the course of the time with him, as she would regress he would recommend shots to help he recover for a few more months. All in all gave us at least 5 miracle turn arounds and because of this man we got to spend an extra 16 months with our little pooch Sophie. She died at the tender age of 15 surrounded by loved ones and she was near comfortable until the end. It is never easy saying goodbyes but I am thankful that I got to postpone that goodbye as long as we could. A huge thank you to Patrick and Ger and their love for our little dog Sophie, and their dedication to the welfare of animals. Gone but never forgotten.

Fantastic experience: can't thank Patrick and Ger enough for the fantastic care they gave my boxer Angel when she was on death's door. Fully recovered now and back to full health. Great customer service, highly recommend

Negative experience: Called at 7 in the morning as my dog had been sick the previous night and I had sat up all night with her, vet told me it wasn't an emergency to call back at 9 and went on a rant that he gets "100's of dogs getting sick a day" and wouldn't see her. I tried to explain she's never ill and i wouldn't be calling unless it was an emergency, he told me I should have called yesterday, I tried to explain that it wasn't an emergency yesterday but now that it's happening through the night it is, he shut me off again basically saying he is to busy and or lazy to see me dog, went to ark vets instead no problem there. Would obviously give 0 stars if possible so rude and ridiculously disrespect the most unprofessional phone call ever

Fantastic experience: Cuddy's did all my veterinary work with my bullmastiff Zeus in his latter years. After extortionate prices I'd been paying all along. Oranmore n st Mary's road. Patrick cuddy not only was professional in his diagnosis with problems with his ears, where others had failed. (And way better price) Even when I put Zeus to sleep cuddy vets were genuinely sorry, as they have a passion for all animals( not customers) can't praise them enough 5 stars. And have new pup Alfie now, wouldn't go anywhere else

We had to bring our cat for emergency due his heart problem, cause he couldn't breathe normally. He really helped him, and us as well, cause he's very calm and very professional. Also clinic is spotlessly clean. We are very thankful and very satisfied. We can't recommend him highly enough :)

Fantastic experience: I moved to Cuddy vets after 12 years with another and i am delighted i did. We get great care and attention here. Very reasonably priced too especially when we've 3 pooches to get looked after. . . And spotlessly clean too. I'd eat my dinner off the floor.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Cuddy is friendly, knowledgeable and has a way with animals. He is by far the best vet I have ever gone to and does not cost an arm and a leg. My dog needed an emergency surgery after being attacked by another dog while I was out of town. He called me to explain the situation, was very calm about it and assured me my dog was doing fine. As I was flying back into the country that day, I was unable to pick her up until 10 o’clock in the evening, but he was very kind and assured me that was not a problem. He met me at the clinic at that time to let me pick her up. During the healing process he even called to check on her a couple of times. Anytime afterwards that I had doubts about my dog’s health I would call him and he always answered all my questions. I can highly recommend him. You can really tell that he loves animals.

Fantastic experience: I took my miniature Daschund puppy (Dug) to Cuddy Vets. I was very nervous about it as I have never had a puppy before and I wanted him to be in safe hands. The vets were wonderful - they described both processes he was having done fully, explained the pros and cons, and looked after Dug with great care. I would definitely recommend Cuddy Vets to anyone wanting a vet you can trust to do a great job and make your pet feel safe and comfortable.
