Village Vets Tallaght

Fantastic experience: I love Village vets. ❤️ Belgard are lovely team, very professional, accommodating, very kind to the doggies. I am always confident of the best advice, and they are getting the best of care. I still travel to them from about an hour away. Highly recommend them if you are changing your vet. There's a vet plan also for any frequent fliers! When your doggie runs to greet the vets instead of away - you know you are in the right place

Negative experience: Waiting 15 minutes while being scheduled for a specific time? No problem. Being 5 minutes late and being made to reschedule the appointment. Village vets Tallaght logic. Very unprofessional behaviour. I came to a what I was told would be a 30 minute appointment with my kitten 5 minutes late. This was supposed to incorporate pre-neuter check up AND rabies vaccination. The very “friendly” girl at the reception told me that they actually put it in as a 15 minute appointment and because we are 5 minutes late that I will have to reschedule. This is the third pet that I have with these vets and overall, while the actual vets tend to be professional and friendly, the front staff tends to be extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend them at all as I have had too many bad experiences at this point.

Fantastic experience: These vets changed my 13 y old cats life. Leon had a curled eye lid that had been affecting him for around two years if not more prior to his visit. We had been to other vets that told us the issue was mechanical and that the most we can do is to monitor the eye and then they provided us with some steroid injections, this meant we were to come back every other week for costly injections that didn’t really do anything. But the vets at my village vets were able to operate on the eye which was not only affordable but extremely effective. On top of that leon had to have dental surgery as he’s been suffering with dental disease for some time. He’s had surgery before but the care was no where near as professional as my village vets provided. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, it brings me so much joy seeing leon have an interest in life again.

Fantastic experience: Nearly 4 years with Village vets Tallaght having got our dog from a puppy. Staff and service are fantastic. We opted for the annual vet plan which has proven to be extremely cost effective, the vet plan is a no brainer.

Fantastic experience: We recently moved to this vet after our previous vet was unable to perform a tooth extraction on our cat (twice) with village vet being able to do it successfully. They treated my boy so well and even scheduled two follow up checks free of charge. I’m super impressed and so happy I moved vets

We feel very lucky to have such a wonderful and dedicated veterinarian — she treats her patients with both expertise and genuine compassion.

Always a pleasant,quick experience☺️. We pop in regularly for nail clippings ,worm tablets etc and all the staff are always very welcoming and helpful. I find it a benefit that the staff know my cats and that they have the records on file so I know how they have been progressing over the years. Very friendly staff atmosphere and you can really tell their love for animals.

Fantastic experience: We recently brought our Yorkie, Tufa, in for treatment, and I can’t thank the team enough for how kind, patient, and professional they were. Vet visits can sometimes be stressful, but they really made the whole experience so much easier for both Tufa and us. They explained everything clearly, treated Tufa with so much care, and made sure we felt reassured throughout. We’re very grateful for the excellent service and compassion — it made a real difference. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a vet who genuinely cares.

Fantastic experience: Amazing. The staff here are so lovely. Had my cat neutered recently and the recovery suit I bought her was too small. One of the staff members sourced a spare one for her! Every time I’m here with any of my pets they are well looked after. Thank you all for the great service.

Fantastic experience: Brought my cat with behavioural changes in, Dr Marta explored all options and possibly found the issue without just going straight to invasive and expensive lab testing. She was thorough, kind and very compassionate to our very stressed chonky boy. Dr Marta was also able to put my mind at ease and walk me through what any further steps would look like if the initial appointment hasn't stopped the issue.

Fantastic experience: We have a particularly difficult cat. We have had multiple vets in Dublin over the years and Village Vets are the only people who have ever managed to take his bloods without having to sedate him first. Their facility is neat and clean. Their staff is some of the friendliest and most experienced. Their processes are well organized. Our fellow recently had a dental surgery at their Rathgar clinic. The staff were friendly, communicated clearly and made sure it was hassle-free for us and the little fellow. Post-operation checks and visits were clearly organized and communicated. At no point in the process did we feel concerned or confused. I highly recommend them.

Our Frenchie receives amazing care and the pet health plan is so convenient when it comes to the yearly vaccinations. More recently our dog had IVDD which required a lot of check ups with the vets all of which were covered by the monthly plan.

Fantastic experience: For years, we have been seeing Dr. Sonia for checkups for both of our cats. She is a very genuine person who loves her job as a veterinarian. During examinations, she takes a thorough history and listens attentively to our concerns. My husband and I are delighted to have Dr. Sonia as our primary vet. One of our cats, has an underlying heart condition and gastrointestinal disease, requiring special attention and care. If he (our cat) could talk in human language, I am certain that he would express how grateful he is to have met Dr Sonia. In addition, special thanks to Hannah (Vet Nurse) for being so sweet, not a surprise that she is a cat lover. Thanks for helping us from time to time. and shares with us on useful tips in taking care of a sick cat. We are so grateful in meeting these two amazing professional hard working ladies. We can see so much of their love to our cats, Charlie & Chandler.

Fantastic experience: Really good vets, always have a good experience when I bring my dog in. She is a dog who hates attending the vets but they always try to help with her nerves. I’m on the pet plan and find it very helpful when she needs to just get a check up or nails clipped

Never any issue getting her booked in for appointments, they even did her vaccines in the car at the beginning as she was too nervous to get out of it, the fact that she’ll now go in shows in her own little way, she’s warming to everyone

Fantastic experience: Our dog Pippy is 15 months old now, and Village Vets Tallaght have looked after her since she was 10 weeks old. The staff are so good with her, nothing is ever too much trouble, from ear infections to vaccinations, they are all so patient with Pip, who is a really anxious dog anyway. I would 100% recommend Village Vets Tallaght to anyone!
