Fantastic experience: We brought our senior cat for a check up and Donal was very kind and handled her with great care. We never felt rushed and he answered all our questions.

Negative experience: Not a good experience, Had a rude tone with me while trimming my cats nails and then made my guinea pig’s nails bleed after realising his mistake of cutting to far on her first nail and just continued so i had to stop him after her two back feet, then made me pay for “admin” and “his time” and then said I shouldnt come the next time as Im “too emotional”. The women who work their are lovely and you couldnt fault them but Donal was very rude.

This vet is brilliant and she is very reasonable, I went to other vets in limerick and this vet is definitely the best, she is very torogh and doesn't miss anything with your animal I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS VET, ALL THE STAFF ARE BRILLIANT AND I MEAN THAT.The vet is brilliant and very fair. Fantastic experience: I have used City Vets for the last few years. The professionalism and care from Laura, Donal, Nicole, Megan and all the staff is second to none. Sadly I lost my beautiful little cat Kitty last week. She had been sick with heart disease since October. The care she was shown by Laura who treated her was truly incredible. She helped to prolong Kitty's life more than the 3 mths she was given. I am devastated and heartbroken over Kitty but Laura helped her to pass in a peaceful, dignified way I will be forever grateful.. Olive

Negative experience: Clyde my beloved 10 year old dog who was obviously at the end of his days went through procedures which were not necessary and very expensive 400euro!!put him out of his misery 2 days later at local vet .....still awaiting results from city vet as it takes 3 weeks for results of biopsy .....will never return to them sometimes you just need the facts and advice to let them go in peace

Negative experience: We had to call out the vet for an emergency yesterday, we had to call the vet 3 separate times and get the dog seen for the same issue 3 times. Our dogs life was at risk and the vet is careless and charged us each time for a call out charge for the same issue which was not dealt with in the correct manner the first time or dogs life was at risk and the vet didnt really care to give us a diagnosis or an indication on what it could be, I expect a professional to at least have some idea what's going on. All for the money, I do not reccomend! if you went to a doctor and you had to go back for the same issue you would not be charged.. did not find him helpful into trying to save our precious dogs life when me and my family were stressed we might loose him, the clock was ticking last night for his life. avoid at all costs if you want your pets looked after and not to be robbed

Fantastic experience: My budgie was very sick, and another vet recommended this vet saying the vet knows a lot about birds even though he's not an avian vet. I rang him at night as an emergency and he was very helpful over the phone and gave us advice on how to help my birdy. However my budgie didn't improve and we had to bring him in, the vet gave him antibiotics and my budgie improved within a few days. I am so grateful. Thank you for making my baby better :)

Negative experience: Quoted 120 and the final was 230, but in an emergency you have no choice. Another vet later told me it would have been 90 for the procedure I needed, honestly just a scam.
