Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of this service. We travel from Drogheda to Slane with our pets. They were there when our Pom, Biscuit got sick & eventually had to go to sleep. They've been there when our new puppy, Nugget, had his shots etc. Their fees are transparent, reasonable & fair This is going to sound soppy, but they genuinely do care about the animals they administer to... Fantastic experience: My 14-year-old dog, Daisy, became critically ill and needed emergency surgery. The team brought her in during the night andsaved her life. They were incredibly compassionate throughout the whole experience. Knowing how serious her condition was, they even allowed my two children to come in and say their goodbyes in case she didn't make it. That kindness meant so much to our family. The care, dedication, teamwork, and professionalism shown by every member of staff was unbelievable. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did. We will be forever grateful to have our Daisy with us again. Thank you for giving us more precious time with her. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Was referred to Slane Vetinary Clinic by our local Vet. Great service, great team at an excellent price point. Scan/ECG completed on aging family dog without any issues/drama, with the dog relaxing throughout! Great team, highly recommend.

From my first visit with her I that I felt that could trust her completely. Previous review: Highly recommend Frances, Fiona, and all the staff. Highest standards. I've been attending Frances since 2010. My 4 Collie K9's have received the best of care.

Fantastic experience: From neutering to urgent visits all of our pets get the best treatment at Slane Vets. Aoife and Naomi are fantastic and really care for our animals. The opening hours are great with the evening and Saturday morning clinics. Thank you for all your help over the years from our fluffy gang!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Slane Vet Clinic. The team are incredibly friendly and kind, and it’s clear they genuinely care about the animals they treat . My pets are always treated so well, and I really appreciate being able to stay with my pets throughout the whole consultation, which makes the experience much less stressful. The other clients are lovely too, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The car park is spacious, making it easy to walk your dog before or after your appointment so they’re relaxed , and it’s also a great place to meet other furry friends, I truly wouldn’t take my animals anywhere else

Fantastic experience: wonderful staff and brilliant customer/pet care ive been going to slane vets for the last 4/5 years. ive had both my dogs in for minor and major visits, always attentive, caring and fair. bills are always very reasonable for the level of care and dedication given. i brought my golden retriever in one morning when she wasnt eating. we were seen to and after some tests she was diagnosed with a womb infection which was very advanced for the lack of symtoms she was showing . with in the day she was operated on and and in recovery. my dog is still here today thanks to the staff at slane vets

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this vet enough. The team were incredibly thorough when diagnosing my german shepherd with IBS. They explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made some great suggestions to help my dog Del live a normal happy life. Del is doing so much better now thanks to their care. Naomi & Michael are a credit to the team helping out the vets on duty and are always so friendly and caring towards the many animals i take in!

Fantastic experience: A veterinary clinic that cares more about the animals than anything else. No appointments just bring a book and wait in your car. Perfect way to avoid stress on our pets. Can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have or had 2 dogs (one has since passed) and 1 cat. I cannot praise the vets and nurses highly enough for the care and compassion they have shown to all my pets. The care the animals get is fantastic. With 3 pets I have been a frequent visitor to the practice and Yes it’s a pain when the practice is busy and you have to wait your turn but they are the best vets around in my opinion. I highly recommend the practice them.

Negative experience: Stay away. Brought my elderly dog and was given out because they couldn't locate the "file". After making us feel horrible admitted they changed the system and did not copy the records. Dismissive, ignorant and very rude. Did nothing to help the animal, made few snarky remarks about going to "all pets" and charged for nothing. Absolutely not worth it and the hassle Learn some manners and basics in customer service, after all we are paying you

Negative experience: I trusted them especially Frances she was caring and a fantastic vet, everyone would say it, she knew what she was doing. She did a good job with my dog, so I came back for the same issue on the other leg 6 months later. Now won't run anymore, she'll get arthritis at a young age she's not even 4yo and they ruined her leg. Especially this Spanish lady who told me that the stitches were resorbable and they were not: results injection and cruciate ruined. This fact is backed up by two other vets. Trust is lost, invoicing is a nightmare, I can't get my insurance covered because they don't provide proper invoices. 4 months of battle of an invoice. I don't recommend anymore

Fantastic experience: Tremendous vets, all round. With huge gratitude I can say Frances saved our dogs life. She made an outside the box diagnosis, treated her immediately, tests showed later she was spot on. We would have lost our Malinois without the team at Slane. They were wonderful then as they have been with all our cat & dog companions. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: My beautiful 12 yr old red setter Bella was diagnosed with late term lung cancer last week.We are naturally devastated. We had no warning and went for a second opinion as there were no treatment options offered.The diagnosis was confirmed ...Bella has a few weeks left. The genuine care and time given to explain and reassure us was absolutely fantastic. This vet..I think her name was Francess...was the most brilliant vet I have ever met.Thank you for your kindness and empathy.

Negative experience: This place came highly recommended, when I rang the lady who answered interrupted me as I was telling her about my dog’s symptoms, got onto me for not bringing the dog sooner and then, when she said the clinic was open for walk ins between 11-1, I explained i lived in wicklow to which she replied” well why are you ringing me then ? She was the rudest person I ever spoke to on phone. Got sorted with a lovely vet who said my dog had inflammation

Negative experience: Rehomed my kids missing dog and changed microchip to a different owner , not willing to tell us the whereabouts our 6 year old child's dog,shocking behavior really . Will be sending solicitor letter to the practice,if anyone knows where Toby is any information would be greatly appreciated heartbroken child here missing his best friend.

Fantastic experience: Yes I have known Frances & her staff for nearly 25 years & I travel from Dublin to her every time with all my rescues… so knowledgeable & no nonsense approach with such care & love for all animals is very plain to see - it’s certainly not for the financial reward…. I also had a dog who developed diabetes then went blind and was successfully treated for a number of years … I know many who travel even longer distances to see her - that speaks for itself.

Negative experience: Apparently good vets never been here before I was waiting over 2 hours too be seen , so left as 7 cars ahead of us. No room on white board for our name we arrived at 7.05pm and we were number 11 . I don't have another 2 and whatever else hours to waste sitting in dark car park . Will go somewhere else where you have appointments and are seen in a given timeslot.

Fantastic experience: Michael my cat came home with a broken leg. My local Vet, Vets and Pets referred us to Francis in Slane. One surgery to pin his leg and another to remove the pin and he is a happy cat, so we are happy owners. Thanks to all who helped! I was worried he would need the leg removed.

My dog was very sick and I brought him multiple times to be seen over a few months, she was always very honest and very sympathetic towards us and our dog. We ended up having to get our dog put down and Frances couldn't of done anything else, she did everything possible to help us. I would 100% recommend her.

Negative experience: My experience here wasn't good. Got my dog spayed, took her back 3 times because her wound kept oozing after over a week, there was a clump of hair stuck in the incision. Nothing was done each time until the 3rd time when the clump was just ripped off, left a big open wound. My poor dog was bleeding and oozing all over the place at home then. Took her to another vet same day and she had an infection where the clump was stuck. Ended up taking weeks for her to recover, and 10 days antibiotics. She's fully recovered now thank god. The lady on the phone was unbelievably rude, she was fine when I rang to ask a quick question, but I wouldn't bother ringing if you've got an issue. Rang back after the other vet had said it was infected, and I got hung up on, laughed at, made fun of, shouted at. Told me "an infection is a matter of opinion." I've asked to speak to the owner 3 times now, no call back. Don't think a phonecall is too much to ask really, but apparently it is. Not sure how an infection was missed or how it's a matter of opinion when there was a green/yellow substance leaking from it. Anyone in the practice could honestly say I was so friendly and polite when I was out, if I was rude or anything that obviously would be a different story. Would have been fair enough if they had apologised or even acknowledged the issue, sometimes things happen, but I got neither.
