Negative experience: I went here few month ago, my cat has cut tale, the vet doesn't even try to check, straight way said that tale needs to be cut and will cost 490e, and said to me come back in 2 days , visit was 90. I was looking at his tale at home and I said now way, the tale doesn't have to be cut, I bought medication to heal it and he still have his tale perfectly fine. Otherwise he will be without.

My cat had the consultation with Dr. Peter and he was very kind and gentle with her, I asked a lot of questions and he went trough all of that with no rush. Always walk away from appointments very happy with the treatment of our kitties. The cutest and most wholesome part is they send the cats happy birthday cards every year! Fantastic experience: Jakes vet in cabra was amazing. I cannot rember her name but her care and her treatment plan was brilliant. Jake done a full 360 under her care after we thought we were going to loose jake as he hadn't eaten in nearly a week. Jake has now eaten rings around himself and back to himself. Thank you so much.

Negative experience: I had a deeply disappointing and honestly heartbreaking experience at The Village Vets Cabra. I arrived only a few minutes late for my appointment, and instead of showing even the smallest bit of understanding or concern, they refused to see my cat without a second thought. No compassion, no attempt to check on him, not even a quick look to assess if he was in pain, just a cold “we can’t take you” and an immediate push to reschedule. We stayed and tried to speak with them for several minutes, hoping someone would at least care enough to glance at him, but it was clear they were more concerned with their schedule than the wellbeing of the animal in front of them. For a place that claims to care for animals, their behaviour showed the opposite. The customer service was terrible, dismissive, unhelpful, and completely lacking empathy. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than worried pet owners looking for help. I left upset, shocked, and disappointed that a veterinary clinic could show so little integrity or compassion. I will not be returning, and I truly hope they reflect on how they treat people and their pets. No one should have to experience this when seeking care for a sick or hurting animal.

Having access to the other village vets is great too - for a sunday emergency etc. we use the Pet Plan and it has been great.

Fantastic experience: Cookie is nearly 10 years old and had collapsed and was in great pain when i took him to village vets in cabra yesterday. I feared it was the end of the road. They gave him pain medication and sent him to watch and wait if it would work. Nothing less than remarkable, in the afternoon he was sitting up and wanting to go out and about, even better this morning, gave him more medication, he is out running about in garden, i am thinking of renaming him Lazarus Thanks all for kindness and speedy treatment

Fantastic experience: The Vets in Cabra are very good, and the administration staff are able to process insurance claims with Alliance very quickly. The last time i had a claim i had the cheque from them 10 days after the claim went in !.

Fantastic experience: Plato is a rescue dog Yorkshire Terrier. He finds trust hard especially when he's out of his comfort zone. The Staff in Village Vets Cabra he loves all of them. His tail starts wagging from the time we go in till after he says his good byes. They treat him with such care & warmth he has built up a real trusting relationship with him. They are very diligent and leave no stone unturned until they get to the bottom of whats wrong with him. Fantastic experience: An early morning appointment worked very well for me and my cat as it meant I was able to encourage him into his cat carrier straight after his breakfast. The recently rennovated waiting area was bright and more spacious than before and I could sit seiarately away from owners with dogs. The person on reception was friendly and welcoming and very efficient when organising my payment. The vet was very competent and knowledgeable and handled my cats annual vaccination visit expertly and also answered other questions about my cat’s health and diet and examined a recent minor injury I was concerned about, reassuring me it was healing well and didn’t require medication. I would highly recommend Village Vets.

Negative experience: I was very upset in my last two appointments because my dog had a very bad reaction to their vaccines and he needed to get an anti histaminic and they charged me for that but it was their own responsibility they shouldn’t charge you for a collateral damage they are responsible for to your dog, for all I know the vaccine could have been expired or Something, anyway, I got very disappointed .

Negative experience: I have had a very bad experience with this vet. My dog cut her paw. 4 trips to the vet. They evenput surgical glove on the dogs paw as a dressing. Then the bill came they charged me twice for some services , and when I told them they reissued the invoice.. no joke. I payed into a plan for over 2 years and not covered for any my dogs treatment, so I decided to cancel. You guessed it . There is a 170 euro charge to opt out. All they wanted to do from the start was sedate my dog . Money , bill, charges, fee first , pet care last. Do your pets a favor and go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I have to say hands down the service I got from cabra village vets was 2nd to none and staff so nice. I dealt with grainne when I brought keta in for an issue but turned out under examination she also had tumours. In the run up to operation all my questions and concerns were dealt with very thorough and patiently. Other staff i dealt with a girl don't know her name when leaving keta in. Declan I dealt with on collection very thorough talking me through her meds. Receptionists. All lovely. Highly recommend

Negative experience: I rang the vets explaining what was going on with my dog. She has a heart murmur and it's getting worse. They told me the consultation would be free, as she is a new client, and if she needs work done there would be a fee. I was delighted. When my dog was looked at the vet didn't tell me anything I didn't already know and advised a scan to see if there is anything going on inside. Also prescribed medication, same ones I've already had her on. When I was about to pay for the meds the receptionist, who was awful trying to communicate, told me there is a 65 euro consultation fee. When I explaining the lady who booked the appointment told me the consultation was free between the four people who were there at the time, the manager, the vet, the receptionists they belittled me into paying half of the total fee. When I looked at the sticker on her meds they haven't even got my right address on it. It was an awful experience. I wouldn't bring a goldfish to this vets. Such a nightmare.

Negative experience: Receptionist was nice. Grainne was the vet. She wasn't kind or warm to the cat or us. My cat did not like her nor did she seem interested. Maybe she is more into dogs. My general experience was that all she cared about was evoking fear and panic so that I would buy expensive tests. She was trying to get me to commit to loads of treatments then and there, even touting a dental 'sale' they had on (sale's on medical care seem unethical to me). Prior to the apt, a girl in reception told me her cats didn't like Grainne, but they like all the other vets. I would not recommend Grainne for a cat and I would not go back to this vet, even though it's handy and just down the road, because I didn't like Grainne using my fear/worry to try make money. I should have felt my cat was being cared for and looked after.

Fantastic experience: Eddie has been a patient of Village Vets Cabra for 7 years. During that time Eddie who is 14 years old has had many different ailments including a few emergencies. We have been very glad of the care offered by Village Vets. The standard of care offered by the practice is excellent and during those really worrying times when your pet is poorly they were so kind and went over and above helping Eddie and being there to reassure us. As an elderly dog Eddie has a few ongoing health issues but they are managed with help from the practice and his qualify of life is excellent.

Fantastic experience: The team at Cabra Village Vets have been very attentive and kind when I have brought my cat in for treatment. She has pancreatitis and intestinal inflammation and so has to go regularly for treatments and pain relief. The girls on Reception have always been very helpful and the vets are very professional and caring. Would recommend them to any animal owners in the area.

Fantastic experience: All the team here are so kind, my dog Lucy can be very restless and stressed in the vets and they were so understanding and tried to comfort her! She’s an 14 year old girl now on medication for arthritis and has a bit of weight to loose but doing great already!

Fantastic experience: Had to get my 13 year old dog’s eyes checked as he is slowly losing his vision. He is an exceptionally nervous dog who hates the vet (all vets without exception). Despite this, he received a thorough examination by the vet who was very gentle and supportive of him. He even accepted some treats from her!

I was given very good advice on both cats but particularly Bonnie who is overweight . They were both given their spot on. I have always found everyone very helpful and plesent. Positive experience: Our 2 cats has dental treatment at cabra vets. Everything was explained in detail what would happen. There was no rush or fuss. Fantastic experience: Yesterday, I had an emergency health situation with my elderly Husky. The receptionist, Ciara, at Cabra Rd Village vets, was very kind and considerate. She was able to fit me in for an appointment with Michaela that afternoon. Michaela was so thorough in her diagnosis and remedy. She told me that Ninja is a priority. This sense of compassion is so important to me at this stage in my dog's life. Her skill and knowledge is a real comfort too. I'd also like to give a shout out to Ryan. I saw him recently as well. His diligence and talent as a vet were impeccable.

Fantastic experience: I emailed Village Vets about my concerns for my unwell dog, late on Tuesday night.I had a prompt caring reply early next morning, with an appointment for that afternoon. This went very well. The vet Julia was very caring, informative and clear with her consultation We came away happy with the treatment received and cost. Staff at reception were very kind and efficient too. I would recommend this Village Vet.

Positive experience: I’ve recently switched to Village Vets in Cabra and have been very pleased. My cat Pablo is not the easiest to deal with but doctor Julia and Michaela have been able to coax with a lot of pets and treats and have provided excellent care for him.

Fantastic experience: The vets here, in particular Ryan and Michaela, have been so wonderful to work with. Ryan went the extra mile for us when our cat Daisy was sick and she very unfortunately ultimately passed away. He was so compassionate and kind and tried his best to help her and we are very appreciative of that. It's super evident how much he cares about the animals and their well being, as well as the owners. Every person we have spoke to at the front desk has also shown us great kindness and we really thank them for that. Definitely can recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Village Vets in Cabra have helped me take care of my 2 kits since I got them. I really appreciate the level of service - reminders for the regular boosters etc, excellent reception staff for urgent queries and appt changes, willingness to take quick calls and queries. A particular call out for the support with Scooby who injured herself recently which has resulted in frequent visits and calls to check on progress - the kits are I great hands!

Fantastic experience: We have been going to Village Vets Cabra for the past year or so - my cat has some skin issues that would need to be treated quite frequently. We opted in for the insurance plan that allows you to free visits as many times as needed, free blood tests and free immunization once per year. It turned out to be a very wise choice - the vets in the clinic are extremely professional and I know my cat is in safe hands when they treat him. The vet nurses always give you a follow-up call a couple of day after the visit to check that everything is good. One of the pros of Village Vets Cabra is that they also open on Saturday morning.

Fantastic experience: We were extremely happy with the service we received at Village Vets Cabra. They looked after our cat Lola so well, and went above and beyond to ensure that her last few months were as comfortable as possible. Although she used to get very nervous on the car journey to the vets, she was always calm and happy by the time her visit was over.
