Fantastic experience: I cannot praise the team enough. They have looked after our dog since she was a pup (now nearly 16 years) and she is still doing amazingly well. Her quality of life is paramount, and every member of the staff has contributed to that. From routine vaccinations, 2 ACL surgeries and tumor removal, cancer aftercare (in conjunction with UCD) and the ongoing care of early stage kidney disease, they have never failed to guide, advise and explain to us every step and decision. Even after moving from Dublin to Wicklow, we remain with Anicare Clontarf for a very good reason.

Fantastic experience: The staff are great and very considerate of both pet and owner. The opening hours are great, making it very convenient. The Pet Club program is also great and makes keeping your pet regular with his vet visits much more affordable. I would definitely recommend it.

Negative experience: Very disorganized with Poor customer service. The lady sitting at the front desk had an attitude , acting like she was doing us a favor, and that’s not the first time that happens !, I am considering looking for another place to take my dogs !!

Negative experience: Only vet for my dogs over the last 20 years but I have now been forced to change vets after being lied to by front of house staff and refusal to give me a written prescription for my dogs medication.

Fantastic experience: Excellent vet practice - the most kind, caring and dedicated clinicians from the front desk, through to nursing and vets. Thankfully don’t have to attend often, but when we do - always feel we have been excellently cared for. Very grateful to have them on my doorstep

Positive experience: Not my usual vet but was there on Saturday. Very accommodating at short notice. My poor baby broke her wrist and had a seizure. The took her for about two hours, bandaged her up and gave her meds then referred me to the hospital. I called them on Sunday with a few questions and they were helpful. Then they called me today to ask how she was doing. Really appreciated that.

Negative experience: Very disorganized service, not great customer experience. Getting regular standard prescriptions is never straightforward. On numerous occasions we came to collect prescriptions ordered in advance and they would not have them ready, or just have them partially ready asking to come back again once they have the meds. Waisting our time, needing to come back multiple times just to get the entire order fulfilled. Very frustrating.

Fantastic experience: Friendly but professional at all times. Hospitable, efficient, bright and clean. Cost is excellent but it's obvious the animal comes first in this practice. A finely tuned machine, well done to everyone!

Negative experience: Following my experience with my dog poor skye who had an accident on the 9th of August 2024. Skye I Braugh skey to the Blancherstown hospital where she was seen by a young vet his name was Cormak he was very compassionate and understanding. He arranged an xray. And the xray confirmed my worst nightmare. She had falling out of the passenger window of my car while travelling at 40 kilometers. While travelling on the lucan Road on the 9th of August 2024. and broke her left back leg. Cormak told me that the brake was very complicated and that skey would need surgery. And arranged for her to have surgery on the 15th of August 2024. Some pins and a plate was put in to her leg . But four weeks later she developed complications and developed an infection and had to be put on antibiotics and pain killers. As she was constantly in pain from day one I Braugh her Back to blancherstown hospital where I spoke to a vet his name is vinton he was not very compassionate and was more interested in getting money than treating skey she now needs more surgery and it's going to cost a small fortune. He did not explain that she could loose her leg due to the complications of the pin that was put in her leg

Fantastic experience: Last week my dog was very unwell, I stayed up all night with him, I was hugely concerned. I found everyone who looked after me and my dog EXCELLENT in Clontarf Veterinary Hospital. 7 days later still on medication BUT he has made a wonderful recovery. I highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: I was nearly two weeks ago with my catshe was pregnant and she start bleeding I,I was there with my cat and after they took my money they send me home wit nothing no medicine no noting ...after few days she nearly died of infection I am so sad because I trust that Vet .I don't recommend nobody to go true that experience. Now she lost her baby s but she is alive. Thanks to George the best Vet that I know.

Fantastic experience: To all you pet owners, I’d like to share my experiences with Clontarf Hos’.Anicarec I’ve two springers or did have ‘till thur 13th oct, Raider 17 yrs old and molly 7 yrs old. Raider deaf for about 6 yrs, back legs starting collapsing about two yrs ago, monthly Librela injections to help with osteoarthritis, I would drive up to front door of Hos’, vet would hop out give injection to Raider as he lay in the car, thank you for that kindness. Wednesday 12th lay in his bed eating nothing only barely lifting his head , now the old fellah would always lie beside me as I watched tv, now you’d want to see, he was hilarious, I could leave my dinner on coffee table and neither dogs would touch it even if I left the room. But now was my time to spoil him , He would intently stare at my dinner , I would turn and look At him, and immediately he’d look away , like saying hey dad I’m not looking at your dinner . As soon as I continue to eat he’d repeat the stare again, So I’d started to share with him , ( defo’ to you all don’t feed any healthy dog from your table they beg off visitors and it’s so thoughtless ‘) and y’know I’d give a piece of meat well he’s put out his paw and tap my arm , thanks dad . My dogs and I were inseparable, Raider on the 13th couldn’t get up I’d lift him and he’d just collapse down. Really Dreading that this time would come . Called the Hos’ for help and vet and nurse arrived 30 mins later , the prognosis really was he’s not going to improve , absolutely no pressure just confirmed what I knew and dreaded , Heart breaking but right decision, His Head in the nurses arms as she gently rubbed his ears and the vet gave him the injection in two minutes he was gone beautiful pleasant death, he never took his eyes off me as he went,well my hanky was pretty wet as you can imagine. But I stood up to thank the nurse and vet, to see the nurse with tears running down her face and and she with a wet hanky as well , such kindness I cannot describe, I’m very happy by my decision, my pal deserved the best and Clontarf Hos’ and I gave it to him. I’m also proud that I never laid a wrong hand on either dogs, only hope his next world is a good as this one was for him. Advice Last word having the second dog makes it a lot easier Joe nolan

Fantastic experience: I can't thank the staff enough for taking such great care of both myself, my daughter and our dog after he was attacked last week, it being such a traumatic time for us all. The staff were the kindest most caring and helpful throughout the ordeal, and the care we got was second to none. From the lovely lady at the front desk, to the nurses and vet. Special shout out to William who was super kind and understanding and also so professional. We feel very lucky to have such a caring fantastic team to look after our dog now and in the years ahead. Fantastic experience: Dr. Sarah is a pro through and through. Her attention to detail during check-ups is unmatched. She has been extremely helpful and committed during the export process of our dog, taking care of every detail and making sure we understood everything perfectly. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in the care she provides. In short, if you want five-star care for your furry family members, Dr. Sarah is the place to go. Fantastic experience: Recently went to this Vet when our 6 month old puppy was worryingly sick. I have to say they were so kind to both us and our little dog. Reassuringly, they also had both the equipment and the expertise to deal with the issue, with x Ray equipment, etc, on site. Our puppy is now home getting better, and the Vets at Anicare are maintaining a watch on her too. I think it's important to say that this is a practice that puts in a lot of work understanding and caring for cats. Cats are very emotional creatures and really benefit from treatment by someone who understands them

Fantastic experience: Excellent veterinary practice. The staff here are all amazing. They really care about their patients and are great at explaining procedures to pet parents. Special thanks to John for his excellent care of our dog during several operations. Further update, this practice was so kind to us and our beloved dog when she became terminally ill. Cannot say enough good things about the care she received. The vet Jenny who was her primary vet for her last few months is absolutely amazing and all the team go above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: Our cat was attacked, and they saw her straight away on a Sunday morning. They treated her and had her ready to go home that afternoon.

Negative experience: My cat has wunds in her ears. It was 100 euro appointment, just drops into ears given, and it did not help at all.

I would give 5 stars but its a great shame that the inside of the building is so run down and tatty, threadbare chairs in the consulting rooms etc etc. It would be nice to see a makeover, to create a better working environment for all the lovely people looking after our much loved pets so well.

Negative experience: I want to start by saying that the girls on reception are very kind and i dont have anything bad to say about them but i am very dissapointment in this vets. I Paid €160 euro for some steroids and an ear drop. The Vet didn't even clean the dogs ear. I am a pharmacy Technican I dispense medicines all day long. They didn't even get the medicine dosage correct and was all mispelt on the label. If I didn't have experience with medicine i would be totally confused on how to treat my dog with these mispelt/wrong directions. very unfriendly towards my dog. Very cold vibe towards my dog seemed very inexperienced dealing with my dog. These people are supposed to be professionals. I don't know what they done when they took him to the other room he was completely traumatised and shaken up for the whole evening. I end up having to bring my pet to another vets in coolock who took care of him great actually cleaned his ear and my dog was alot calmer around this vet. The vet kindly done this without charge also. Will not be back here and would not recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Veterinary clinic. First of all I would like to thank everyone that works there. My dog had cruciate ligament surgery and the result couldn't have been better. The Vets are brilliant and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend Clontarf Veterinary Clinic.

Fantastic experience: The vet we saw yesterday was so thorough and took the time to explain everything and answer questions. Everyone at the practice is lovely. Even though it's half hour drive away I've been bringing my dogs here for about 11-12 years as when I adopted my first dog Holly, it was a couple of days before Christmas, she had a cough but the 2 local vets wouldn't see her 'as it was Christmas eve'. I googled vets and found anicare, phoned, and was told to bring her down and they'd take care of her and they did. Since then all my dogs, both adopted and fostered, have been looked after by anicare :)

Negative experience: Dog got the attention needed but prices are crazy. 59 euro consultation was fair enough but Prednisolone was over priced while the worm tablet was 40 euro and another 40 for the tablet for ticks. I think I'm the thick. Won't return.

Negative experience: I had an appointment at 15:45.. still not seen at 16:40.. totally ignored and another person came in after me and her dog was seen to before mine... I decided to leave.mi will not be back...

Negative experience: This used to be our trusted vet, and we rated it as 4 stars in the past. Unfortunately they’ve gone worse and worse to the point that we have had to switch to another one. The visitation rooms are DIRTY, but not a bit dirty, they are dirty like if nobody in the place had cleaned for months. They used a dirty ear cleaner on our cat, and without even cleaning it with a piece of paper or anything, placed it back in the cabinet. If you love your pet, STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Clontarf Vetinary Hospital more highly. It's always an anxious thing bringing your beloved pets to be checked out for any issues, but the entire team are so welcoming and amazing with animals that it does bring real peace of mind. They have taken amazing care of our puppy during an emergency, and any time we've been there all of the vets are so knowledgeable and explain everything so clearly. This is a team of people who love what they do, and to have that on our door step is a major comfort for any pet owner.
